Author's Notes
Written for Judas-la-Carotte's character Gabriel.
Contrast
How does golden light become a burning sun?
How do the purest feathers become the white of a blade?
All of it is through you
For you may be the dew of the ethereal dawn
You may be the touch of an angel's cloak
But earth's angels are made of stone, and their eyes burn with anger
The glimmering lake can drown, the softest cotton can choke
For they are not bound by appearance, and neither are you
Holy child the color of both distant sky and dangerous poison
The word has truly told us that the last shall be first
