Pierce spends hours every single day, scouring the halls of Evergrim to find the supernatural stuff that he knows hides there. He’s always been good at getting himself into trouble so the cursed objects seek him out, he always looks in the right spot and halls twist and curve to lead him where they want him, the castle wants him to know. Unfortunately no one else does, he has to keep finding more and more things because Haunt and Wrinkles always take them away with a usually barely reasonable explanation, however he has found one friend in princess. She is the only one who actually believes him and isn’t in on it. Together they’ve found friendship and although he hardly ever gets anywhere and seems to be wasting his time, ridiculing himself in front of them mob, she reignited the spark of determination to prove haunt wrong, to prove to everyone that he was right. He has a lighthearted easy going demeanor and jokes a lot, often about himself. He doesn’t have too many friends because of his obsession, he always manages to bring up the magic in one way or another, it consumes his life tearing him apart, but princess is there to put him back together again. he ‘s not that great and being in groups, he always messes up his words and begins to sweat. But when it’s one on one he’s very open and chatty, he can talk for hours about seemingly nothing. He has a kind of dark view on other cats, he’s been lied to, he’s lied to every day and he only really really trusts one cat, Ace, his sister. He often feels like he’s being watched, like Haunt’s stare is boring into the back of his head, pressuring him to fail, wanting him to give up. But she’s never actually there.

Ace is a sweet baby, she’d sacrifice her happiness for anyone, no matter who, and no matter how much pain it gives her. You can do or say anything awful to her but she just wants you to be happy, she sees the bright side of everyone and is super understanding and caring. She knows about the ghosts and the eternal torture everyone faces at death, but she doens’t let that get her down, it’s just a reason to live your life to the fullest! She’s always smiling and happy, and will help you no matter how much you say you don’t want or need help. She carries around a notepad with a stuffed animal attached and has cats write down positive things on it, which she can read to ones having a worse day. Or you write something that makes you really angry and then destroy it. She’d probably be a better therapist than the actual one but she doesn’t want that sort of pressure, the cats go to her with their problems and then the therapist is sad and goes to her about it. She makes the entire place way happier and more upbeat. With her bright eyes and wide smile, anyone who sees her gets the light feathery joy and positivity beamed into them like magic. She has a brother whom she loves very much but because he’s so desperate to find out about the ghosts haunt makes her push him away, but they both want to be inseparable as they were as kittens. She still tries to hang out with him but the looming threat of what haunt might do to her gives her anxiety and makes it awkward.
