Ace grew up super close with her brother, she had a mother and a father but weren’t that close. They raised her and pierce but didn’t talk much outside of teaching the necessities. There was a grandfather too who talked about boring things but made them seem interesting. Also an aunt who died when the kits were young but ace has a faint memory of slipping away from her overbearing hugs..
Pierce is her brother and they did everything together, they were practically the same cat. They still hang out a lot.
Miss, her mother is still alive but she never sees her, she doesn’t hate her but feels a sadness at seeing other cats taking such good care of their kits
Snow, her father died when she was 17, he taught her what she needed to know in life but she didn’t really know him very well, it makes her mother sad though.
When she was only 4 Aura, her aunt died, she would always cling to Ace and Pierce and compliment them and hug them and lick them. They both hated it but now ace regrets not being nicer to her even if she doesn’t remember much.
Spruce, her grandfather is really nice, but talks a lot, she listens though, he can talk about something as simple as a rock for hours. Most cats fall asleep but ace listens alertly, even if she is getting bored.

Ace’s parents realised that they weren't too interested in the kits once they were born. The mother, Miss, fed them and tucked them into bed but never really talked much. The father, Snow, taught them how to read and write and some other stuff, but they didn’t really know him. They watched their parents care for and love each other and wondered why they didn;t get treated like that by them. Their aunt, Aura, would obsess over them, caring for them but also crushing them under the weight of her love. She never gave them a moment to breathe, kissing them and making sure they looked “proper” she fed them because “oh, your mother doesn’t feed you enough” while the kits tried to sneak away. When Aura died when the kits were 4 though they didn’t really understand it but were glad that she stopped bothering them. Their grandfather, Spruce, took them on walks around the castle and told them interesting facts about non-interesting objects. As they grew older they understood that other cats got love from their parents and began to miss Aura. They were very close, Pierce and Ace the two young siblings who were practically inseparable, that is until when they were around 12 Ace started making some friends, Pierce wanted to join in but that made things awkward, this was Ace’s thing, the thing she did without him. She got pretty distant from him for a while not even knowing what he was doing with his time until she was 17 where her friends started making new friends and leaving her out, she was giving herself up, making herself miserable to get them to want to keep her, but it wasn’t enough. she tried to get close to pierce again. But he pushed her away, fearing rejection. He had found something that he said was magic and wouldn’t stop talking about it, Ace was concerned because he spent all of his time hunting for it. She wanted to believe him, but she didn’t know what to do. Until Wrinkles told her about the ghosts and such, which kind of dampened her spirits but she was supposed to stop pierce from finding out because he’d tell everyone. She didn’t want to lie to him, she thought maybe it would be better if she told him but was too afraid. They’ve become friends again as she gets stressed and needs someone to open up to, but not about the ghosts.
