Ending 03 -Leon Good End-

When the captain asked if Leon was given permission to come to the hidden deck, out of nowhere, Emil stepped forward.

“Yeah, I gave Rookie permission.” he told his brother. “He was already lookin’ for you, and I wanted to know what the heck this place was. You never told us about it!”

The captain fumbled for a moment, unsure of what to say. “This area holds most of the ship’s internal workings. I come here to make sure everything is functioning properly. If someone else knew about this place, there’s a chance it could be sabotaged.”

“But what if you got locked in here and no one could find you?”

“Hmm. That would be an issue.” the captain paused. “If that becomes the case, I give you two and only you two the permission to look for me here. Otherwise, you are ordered never to venture into this area, do I make myself clear?”

“Yes, sir!” Leon saluted.

“Yes, Captain Bro!” Emil joined in, too.

“...”

“Yes, Captain Galhardo.”

“Good.” His brother nodded. He turned to Leon. “Ranger Summers, what made you search for me in the first place?”

“Oh me? I was just hoping I could talk to you, to know what you were like.”

“...Why?”

“So we could be friends!” Leon offered a hand to shake.

Uncertainty flashed over the captain’s face as he looked at his brother. Emil just patted him on the back with a smile.

He shook Leon’s hand.  “I’ll consider making myself available more often.”

“You better~” Emil winked.

The three exited the secret area. The light of the observation deck lit their path, but to Leon, it was a promise of a future full of friendship.
