Memories

The window let him see nothing but the cold darkness.

He was thankful for that. Moments ago, he could see nothing but the corpse he had pushed out of the cargo-bay after untangling it from the control console and rolling it there.

Ushi had requested a space barial after all.

And he wanted the body nowhere near him.

He held tight to the odd device they had been holding. A dented yellow metal thing. Reminded him of a gun. They had been clutching it so tightly.

He leaned against the wall and slid down. Pulling his knees up to his chin. Clutching tightly to the device. He choked on sobs. He felt cold.

The dark of space crept in the ship.

Making him cold.

And alone.
