The Outpost was always bright and loud, usually, it was a good place in which to lose yourself without having to think.

But there were to many Protectors. He could tell that's what this crowd was because of the shining tools at their belts. His hand strayed to his pack, where the one he used was kept.

All these people had earned theirs.

He should have let Ushi keep it. Even if it had floated uselessly out there in space with them, it would be better then holding it and taking what they had earned.

It was heavy.

It got heavier the longer he held it.

The Outpost was loud and cheery. As it usually was.
