“This way!” Vina told the strange floppy haired dragon, her spiked tail swishing back and forth as the shyer male pawed close behind the female he tried to often appease if possible. It was a chilly day, but not snowing so there was a slight saving grace so this winter outing. Not that Lykos even minded the cold, the light part of him loving how pretty it was while the earth part of him still enjoyed all things in nature.

“I’m coming Vina, the snow is just deep.” He told her softly, hopping over a log hidden by snow before he had caught up with the rather excited female who started darting off the second he made it.

Vina was so excited, having seen pictures of this plant in Folkren’s book and wanted to indulge in what she thought was a mistletoe. A red berried plant with green like leaves, not that she knew there was more to that smooching plant than that and misidentified it.

“Faster! Must go faster!” Sighing, Lykos picked up the pace, supposing it was a nice walk at the very least.

Coming to a small clearing of the plant growing, Lykos was just about to say how pretty the holly looked among the trees. Wrapped around them and left looking like a winter wonderland in someone’s picturesque book. THe more distinct leaves a give away to him, but not the young dam as she leaned over to smooch him and got a confused look.

“What was that for?” He asked, ears twitching as Vina was still so excited.

“Mistletoe!” Blinking his many eyes and pointed one of the crooked fingers up to the plant, Vina nodded and a soft laugh. Easing some of the worries Vina had from a sweet noise.

“No, silly! It’s Holly!” Watching her ears droop, he at least gave into the antics and a smooch also given as he settled down on a rock to lay with her before they started heading back home.
