FOTD 2021

The twinkling stars shone against the dark sky, clear from the clouds and all covers as the crescent shape accompanied them in the dark hours of the day. A breeze picked up some of the white dust that covered everything outside that dared to defy it, but wasn’t as cold as many of the previous months endured. WInter was growing to the end, spouting young plants pushing themself up through the frosted dirt to try and start existing. Many did well in the moist air, as the snow melted and watered the thirsty plants well.

Pawing at one of the greenery that pressed against her brown scales, Vina laid her head back down on a rock she was using her pillow while stargazing with Lykos. A more quite companion who was just swishing his tail and throwing some of the snow dust into the air and making the pair just colder.

“The night is so pretty, now as pretty as you are though.” The other softly, trying to do the flirting thing that he saw the riders doing oh so often. Lykos wasn’t as thick as he seemed, starting to bond with the idea that his cute little stalker adored him so and would never leave him be.

Suddenly lost on what she should say to the sudden sweet words she usually got from the riders. But not her love interest! Not future husband! She was excited, heart beating faster as she scooted closer to him to rest on his soft back.

“Yes,” was all she could manage. Kneading his softer scales as her eyes turned back to the sky above them. Tonight was a wonderful night, as Vina closed her eyes to enjoy this sweet moment offered to her. Tonight was the mark of a new chapter, one she was ready to write with her desired partner.
