Breeding Basics
In order to breed two creatures, they must meet the following criteria:
- Same species
- Both adults (LV 26+)
- Male/Female pair (one or both can be Bisexual instead)
- Currently the species' breeding period
- Neither creature is out of breedings for the season
If two users agree to, they may breed their creatures together.
Information about breeding and when creatures are able to breed will be available in their breeding tab once they have reached adulthood.
Creatures will stay on the Breeding Board for a week, after which their slot(s) will be available for other creatures.
Trait Passing
When breeding creatures, some of the parents' traits will be passed to the offspring. These are randomized between both parents, but will generally not be all of the offspring's traits. Bred creatures can also have their own traits which are not from either parent, as well as gain traits through Cross-pollination.
Cross-Pollination
Sometimes when breeding, an event known as "Cross-Pollination" will occur. This can happen in two different ways, and is a way for traits to be passed between nearby creatures on the Breeding Board to the offspring - even if they aren't the same species!
The two ways are:
- Pollinators are attracted to certain creatures, and if two creatures within range attract the same pollinator, there is a chance of Cross-Pollination.
- Wind appears randomly and travels in random directions. If two creatures are in its path, Cross-Pollination can occur.
Cross-Pollination Events:
- Bees - 2 - Pollinator
- Hummingbirds - 5 - Pollinator
- Wind - 2-8
