Happy new year, folks! I have some exciting news: I'm opening Guest Artist Tryouts, again!
To enter, you just have to make a Ringox of your own within the deadline. I want to see what you're capable of, so don't hold back!
Guidelines and Rules:
- There is no limit to the amount of mutations you can use - go nuts! You can use any mutations. The comprehensive guide is here! You can make your own mutations up if you'd like!
- ONE design per person! If they have an alternate form, that still counts as one design.
- Submit the design to me via the #GuestArtistTryouts channel on Discord!
- You MUST list all traits and mutations you've used in the design in your submission. If you're not sure, you can ask me what they are! (This may result in new mutations if needed!)
- There is no limit to the winners- you will become part of the pool of guest artists to be used for the future.
- All entrants can keep their designs! You may also sell the design if you don't wish to keep it.
- You are allowed to use my bases, bases by others (so long as that's allowed) and your own personal drawings/bases!
We won't be denying anyone based on their ability or art, but please try to do your best! We look for quality over quantity with designs. Even if you don't intend to sell your design, just think about this as presenting a product for the market!

GENERAL RULES:
- MYO slots are non-refundable from me, however you may re-sell the slot for the price you paid for it.
- Finished and approved MYO designs can be resold for the slot's price, with price additives for any commissioned artwork you personally paid for, provided the artist allows it.
- Designs cannot be used without my approval.
- Designs may not under any circumstances infringe copyright of another species or media. I reserve the right to reject a design if I find it too similar to anything I have seen.
- If your MYO is denied, don't feel bad! I will always give suggestions as to how to change something.
- I will not tolerate any sort of art theft, tracing, or copying of any kind. There's a difference between reference and plagiarism. If I catch you after a design has been approved, you will be given a chance to change the design, and denial will result in the rejection of my business completely.
- I must be credited as the CREATOR of your design if you upload them to Toyhou.se. This is not to steal your character, it is just to monitor trade activity. You are the Designer and Owner of the MYO, I am the Creator of the Species.
HYBRID RULES:
- Hybrids between Ringox and another species are either with your own Closed Species, an existing species within mythology/lore, or with expressed permission from the species owner.
- I am not responsible for contacting the owner of a closed species, you must provide proof. Often times, this would require another MYO slot from another species, I assume.
- Hybrids CAN be mixed with species from games/anime/other media, I don't mind! They can also be a mix of 2+ species if you can find a way to still make them look like a Ringox!
HOW THE MYO PROCESS GOES:
- Once you purchase the slot, based on the guidelines provided in the sales post that show which traits you may use, you can then create your design.
- I will send you a "MYO Vial" on Toyhou.se with Masterlist info, mutation info, etc.
- Unless specified otherwise, designs may be created using a base, free-hand, or by commissioning an artist. (Please credit bases & artists accordingly.)
- Once the design is complete, it must be DMed to me on Discord or on Toyhou.se for approval. I will try my best to answer any/all approvals within 24 hours, however if I fail to, feel free to note me again.
- Once the design is approved, feel free to use it as you would any other! It's officially yours.
Ringox 23 Summer Beach Party

Amadeus' tail swished this way and that as he finished putting up some of the seaweed decorations around the pavalion that was kindly gifted to them by Sol's Avatar. Standing on tippy toes he made sure that a seabloom was laying just so and just right. He wanted this event to be as wonderful as the waters he so loved to frolic and play in.
"Everything ready Amadeus?" A small voice hovered close and he smiled at the small elemental sprite. Being one of the few men she could be around was indeed an honor and he offered a small smile to her.
"Almost Aqua! And soon there will be lots of ringoxes to celebrate the summer with!"
"Oh I do hope there isn't to much mischief. I heard that pain in the fin Leviathan has been trolling the waters."
"My boyfriend assured me that he has the best guards on duty to make sure everyone is safe." He smiled and put a sea-lily behind her ear, gaining a little giggle at the action he finished making sure all the food was set out, games ready, beats pumping, just as perfect as possible!
During his walkings about he bumped into Adriana and Reveka. Both giggling away about something and he had to know.
"Hi! How's your guys' day going?"
"This is going to be a splendid affair. Thank you for hosting Amadeus."
"Yeah, and this food, oh so good!" Amadeus watched as he was sure a some sushi disappeared with a blink before his very eyes.
"Well enjoy! Talk to you later!" He smiled walked away and continued on, coming to the music stand, he was happy to see Rio had set up fairly quickly, and was practicing away. Watching the performance was Okeanos, Maleko, and Darius. Speaking quietly about the performance and how so far things seemed relaxed. No ocean threats so far, he swore he saw Rónán and Lokelani playing some form of corral hole, and it seemed that Ro was sorely beating the other whale ringox.
Taking to the main stage after Rio finished a song and performance, Amadeus grinned out to the excited crowed.
"GREETINGS PARTY GOERS!" Ringoxes of all types turned to the stage to see what their host was doing, waiting with baited breath. "I hope you all enjoy this beach party! I can't wait to hear all the wonderful tales from your time here! I'm your host Amadeus, and let's kick this beach party up and I hope to see a lot of you enjoying your time today! We have great food, games and wonderful performances planned out for the day! I'll be floating around if you need me!" With that he flipped off the stage towards waiting waters and went to go about to hosting duties.
Amadeus took a moment to take a deep breath and relax a moment after flipping into the water. He had been busy all morning, and now was the time to enjoy and relax. Sitting back he watched the ringoxes, both aquatic and non playing on the beach and just thriving at the party, that was when a delicate hand tapped his shoulder causing him to jolt. He turned quickly to see, a certain princely ringox had swam into the water canal they put in to make things easier for the more land-adverse ringoxes.
"I am so sorry Darling, some matters of state kept me away longer then expected. How goes your.... shindig? Is that what the people call it?" He had to giggle watching his well-versed boyfriend trying to 'blend' with the normies.
"A party, a bash, a get together, all of those work dear. Now come on, there's some sushi with your name on it! And I want the handsomest Ringox I know to come sit with me near the hosting table"
As they swam over to the table, a great flash of color and fire lit up the sky as a ringox with phoneix feathers touched down to the stage before giving an annoyed huff.
"Sol sends his best party wishes! He sent me to the wrong beach initially!" The avatar to Sol, Ignacio grinned as he swooped down into the crowd to join in the fun. If he was going to be sent to the wrong beach, he sure as hell going to take his sweet time coming back!

- Entries must be submitted by the deadline(August 13th at 11:59 pm EST) to be eligible. (Deadline may change, but there will be announcements if such a thing happens)
- One entry per person.
- ALL who enter, regardless of winning or not, will earn 50 dust!

I wish I could have contributed more this year, myself, but seeing everyone give each other gifts and kind words has truly made me so happy. We've built a wonderful community over these past 5 years and I truly hope this community sticks around for longer. We're small, but that's not always a bad thing - I've gotten to know many of you a lot more personally this way!
This is a milestone for me, and I hope you all know how much you mean to me! Thank you so much for this event; I hope many more will come from it in the coming years!

The event lasts from today until June 4th, so all deadlines are until then!
Once again, you don't need a Ringox to participate in any of the events!

In addition to the fantastic party that the Progenitors display, they have decided to host a huge, gift-giving exchange!
Event Details:
From today to June 4th, members of the community can create art of each others' Ringox and earn prizes for doing so!
The amount of art you give, big or small, earns you both Ethereal Dust and different prizes :>
The content you create can be sketches, full drawings, or writing! The images don't have to be
Every piece you do for this event will earn you 20 Ethereal Dust!
