 KEY CHARACTERS

23712630_iS8.png

Napoleon Hinshaw | Wahou Ferry Captain
The bubble-blowing captain of the S.S.Wahou Ferry! Napoleon is an original character created by Agatha Hargrooves and the protector of Wahou Islands seas. He's kind-hearted sea frog who loves to sail and embrace the atmosphere of the waters. Every summer, without fail, Napoleon sails between Mahou Wando and Wahou Island to bring passengers back and forth.! When he's not on summer ship duty, Napoleon sails around the island patrolling the area and looking for unruly pirates to give a good kickin to~

25690694_PjPKYeBtChcDNOu.png

AgoKong Sun | The Monkey King
AgoKong is the chief and guardian of Wahou Island! He was put in charge of protecting the creachers as well as the citizens on the island from poachers and other malicious individuals who come to take advantage of the island's natural resources. Despite his laid-back party-boy attitude, it's said that he can be pretty efficient when it comes to his duty, and once literally punched a poacher into the sun.
They never came back down.

The Mermaid Sisters | Wahou Island Idols
The famous Wahou island idols! The duo were born and raised on Wahou Island and found fame through their radiant vocals and energy!
They serve as the hostesses for the summer game festival! They perform for both the resort and the island year-round, but Summer is when things really heat up! They have always had an argument over...something! What does that entail for the island~?

   TRAVELING TO WAHOU ISLAND!

sailormoon-beach.gif

PREPARING FOR ONLY TWO SEASONS: SUMMER AND SLIGHTLY COLDER SUMMER
Wahou Island only experiences weather in warm extremes and it never drops below 70 degrees all year,
with snow only falling at the very top of the island Volcanos once every few decades.(So there's no need to pack jackets! )
The islands well known as a perfect eternal vacation home, where the weather's always beach ready!

HOW TO GET TO WAHOU ISLAND
A beautiful ferryboast titled the S.S. WAHOUFERRY docks in Mahou Wando's Universal Services Center every Summer!
Piloted by Captain Napoleon - one of Agatha's original characters, it serves as the one and only (legal) gateway between Wahou Island and Mahou Wando! Mahous with special badges, passes, and tickets can board his boat and be taken to the other side!

To get to Wahou Island: a Mahou will need to recieve a ride from Napoleon's Wahou Ferry or
have access to the dimension through a specific teleportation spell they must receive from Agokong or Island Locals.
Youths who were born on Wahou Island know the spell to return to their home as a default skill "My heart lives by the Sea" (A Mermaid sisters special).

  LESS STRICT ENTRY
The island used to be protected by a special gate that only allows entrance during a specific time of year. This way, Agatha would always know who comes and goes. However, ever since the Rosencranz Apocalypse the strict system of entering and leaving Wahou Island became no longer effective due to her passing and has left it relatively accessible all year.

The counter to this less strict means of keeping things together is: the island guardians!
AgoKong protects the land and the skies, while captain Napoleon protects the seas!
While an increase in poaching attempts have occurred, there have been no success stories. Proving this system to be IMMENSELY successful!

CAN I LIVE HERE ALL YEAR?

Yes! Wahou Island is its own society!
A majority of Wahou Islands population actually lives in the sea!
During the poaching fiasco, dedicated followers of Agatha's cause settled on Wahou island to fend off poachers and found a home and community. Nowadays, people cross over from the S.S. WAHOUFERRY and see that beautiful ocean and the rainbows and the sky- and decide to stick around! The downside is, you are definitely not going to get access to any of the newest or latest updates, and will most likely always have to wear sunscreen. But on the island? Where the community is generally laid back and playful? There's never really never a dull day.

Children from Wahou attend schools on the island, whether it be homeschooling or the in-village kindergarten and elementary schools.
When they reach Academy Age (12-14 years old), they're put on the WahouFerry in the Summer and are sent to the mainland to attend Agatha Academy

  NOTABLE CREACHERS ON WAHOU ISLAND
All of the creachers native to the island are extremely rare (3-5 stars) and some are nearly impossible to obtain.
Here are some rather notable ones whose names will come up often in conversation.

32658541_LMRPAXTFnkcuuT9.png   THE WUKEE
One of the more well-known Creachers on the island due to the islands guardian being an enchanted one!
All Wukees on the island see Agokong Sun as their Monkey King, and will do whatever their king orders! Even if it means attacking with brute force. They're extremely intelligent, capable of using tools and weapons, as well as protect Wahou Island itself with pride.
Islanders also love fighting them for training purposes! They'll be happy to play in exchange for food, especially fruits.

32619093_xlUqCw3zm89EZf5.png  THE DRAXOLTOL
An extremely legendary and highly desired creacher due to its intelligence, and genetic makeup.
Their extremely adaptive biology allows them to thrive even in volcanos, deep caves, and the most pressured underwater habitats.
Traditionally, Draxolotl scales have been used for not only medicine, but potions said to grant immortality to its consumers as well.
Making them an extremely desired Creacher for poachers, scientists, and regular mahous as companions alike.

32658803_4KwgHxDc8XoyIk3.png

  THE OCTOBOOFER
The playful terrors of the Wahou Sea! Their boofs can be heard from miles away.
These Creachers are well known for striking down unsuspecting ships that don't see them coming and are regarded as the primary reason for the existence of Sunken Ship City. Wahou Island fishermen as well as pirates like both must watch out for them, often carrying an Octodoggo on board and pampering them just for safety measure.

They say Octoboofers get bigger and bigger the deeper one goes down into the Wahou Island Oceans...

32658577_9ByM1y321m7esZK.png   THE FIENDALURE
Regarded as a direct byproduct of overpoaching, Fiendalures lurk both on the surface and in the depths of the Wahou Island sea, awaiting for an opportunity to grab their next meal. These Creachers are said to be bioluminescent and are most easily spotted in the waters around nighttime, illuminating the ocean's surface.
Rumors say they're the proof that treasure can be found at the bottom of the Wahou Island oceans, as their lures are composed of a variety of items. Sunken down to the ocean's floor and brought back up again...

  WAHOU ISLAND CULTURE

78109165_k5eApnAslTQSZNj.png

 WAHOU ISLAND DEITY STATUE
First and foremost, near the center of the island, there's a statue of the Wahou Islands guardian: THE MONKEY KING. Aka Agokong Sun.
A long time ago, the King took a leap towards the sun and what he left behind was a statue made in his likeness, along with the King's legacy for having FUN!
That legend has since been debunked by Agokong himself after he broke out of his original petrified state-
but the story was so cool that they resurrected another one in his honor and kept the tradition of telling the tale going!
The Wahou Islanders hold the King's statue in high regard, and it's customary to pay respect to the statue if you happen to stumble upon it.

  LAWS OF THE CREACHER SANCTUARY
The entire purpose of the island IS to keep Creachers safe! So it goes without saying:
It is forbidden to attack or deliberately capture any Creachers here.
If a Creacher naturally takes a liking to a Mahou and wants to be their companion, that is the only instance where one may get off the island with a native critter. In Agatha's time, poachers from other realms would come to Mahou Wando to abduct, steal or hunt down the realms rarest fauna. Finding this behavior dreadful and frightening, Wahou Island was created to protect the most unique of Agathas creations.
Littering is also highly frowned upon, so don't do it and be self-conscious mahous!

 THEY LOVE GAMES & SPORTS!
If there's anything the residents here love to do, it's to have fun !
On Wahou island, your physical strength and your prowess as a warrior speaks volumes about your character.
AgoKong Sun was always in the business of using games, wit and raw power to settle a score and the residents adopted this from him.
To rely on anything else can be seen as a skill issue! Tech and whatnot is cool and all but... WHAT ABOUT YOUR ABILITY TO TAKE A FIGHT??? LIFT A BOULDER??? On Wahou Island, it's customary to sometimes settle even IMPORTANT DECISIONS WITH A GAME MATCH!!
SO GIT GUD!!

WAHOU SEA GOLD RUSH & PIRATES
The deep sea of Wahou Island is host to a myriad of treasures and various other findings!
Usually, there are entire fleets of various pirate ships that sit on the ocean's surface, with pirate crews diving into the water and battling other pirates for glory. They occasionally port at the island to refuel and drink before they return to their treasure hunting activies.
Funnily enough, being a pirate on Wahou Island is seen less as a threat and more of an actual profession. As long as they're not poaching Creachers, most citizens tend to let them be.

 THE WAHOU ISLAND LANTERN FESTIVAL
Every two weeks during the entirety of summer, Wahou Island holds a miniature lantern festival on the beaches during nighttime.
It's to celebrate Wahou Island itself, as well as a way to spiritually connect with those off in the distance on the Mahou Wando mainland.
It's not unusual to dress up in festive summer clothing for the festival, in fact, some islanders even take it as an opportunity to take someone, they have or want in their solar system on a festival date!
At the end of the night, many beautiful multicolored lanterns decorated with special messages are set off to sea~
Fun Fact: At the same time, LongHua City usually holds its own festival where they also send lanterns off towards the sea!
The rumor says the tradition started because of Chief KaiLong and Chief Agokongs original relationship...

  BRIEF LOCATION EXPLANATIONS

  YAHOU WAHOU RESORT AND BEACH
Where Napoleon parks his boat. Featuring a long stretch of sand with plenty of people already lounging by the beach and enjoying the sun!
A tourist #1 HOT SPOT for a good time and primarily where they will be staying. Featuring high-class suites and top-tier entertainment, the beach of Wahou Island becomes a bustling hub for tourists every summer. As a result, a significant portion of the beach is dedicated to accommodating visitors, with numerous shops and food stands set up to cater to their needs. (Grab an ice cream cone~)

  THE ISLAND VILLAGE
Home to the land-loving island dwellers, Wahou Island embraces a rural lifestyle where its inhabitants work harmoniously with creatures and nature to sustain themselves. While the majority of the population resides on the island, you can also discover scattered homes nestled in the lush jungles and perched on the majestic mountains of Wahou Island.

  WAHOU ISLAND TRAINING GROUND
Located next to the Wahou Jungles. Come here to train, play and workout!
One can go fishing in the water and see if you can catch a bubble bath eye without it slipping through your fingers.

Or go ski-jumping! Or try your hand at mortal combat with your friends!
This area is usually filled with fighters or sporty types killing time with some fun and games.

  THE LIMITLESS SKY
Unlike Mahou Wando where if one goes up high enough they'd hit a shell that's the realm's invisible barrier, Wahou Island's skies seem to stretch infinitely upwards. The realm also doesn't operate on manually controlled weather or day/night illusions, as everything seems to go on almost naturally...
Surely, whatever spells and magical bases that were used to build this mini realm must be extremely complicated, or at least more polished than that of Mahou Wando's main realm. Either way, a high sky means plenty of people get to enjoy the experience of SKY DIVING, XTREME BROOM RACING, SETTING OFF FIREWORKS AT NIGHT! And whatever else kids with low impulse control get up to these days....

 THE JUNGLE
The Wahou Island equivalent of the Hallowed Woods is a vast, untouched forest that dominates the majority of the island. Its tall trees provide a natural structure for the residents to build their homes and make a living. This pristine jungle is also home to rare and beautiful creatures. Tourists seeking excitement can take exploration tours through the lush greenery to catch a glimpse of these unique creatures and experience the natural beauty of the forest.

  THE CREACHER RANGERS HQ
An hub for Creacher Reasearchers or as they call on Wahou Island - Creacher Rangers, to carry out their research, maintain contact and send updates to Faunus. Creacher Researchers tend to make Wahou Island their home due to the hefty amount of legendary and rare creachers that roam the land. They say Wahou Island is the primary center for Creacher Evolution to occur!

 THE SLEEPING VOLCANO
Behind the resort and the jungle, one can see a gigantic volcano looming in the distance in the heart of the island.
It erupted due to being influenced by Rosencranz four years ago and has since returned to being dormant.
These days, a lot of islanders and tourists tend to take a trip up to the top of the volcano for photo-op or dare related purposes.
Legends say gigantic Draxotols live in the center of the volcano, and if one happens to spot one while looking in, they will be granted good luck for their journeys.

  WUKEE KING MOUNTAIN
Where the island guardian AgoKong Sun lives!
A mountain area whose peaks reach into thick and colorful clouds that obscure the area well.
At the very top of the mountain, one can find Agokong's official throne, as well as a variety of eternally ripe fruits all around.
Wukees can be found in any corner and this place, often seen wielding weapons and practicing their martial arts skills for the king's entertainment and orders. This spot is excellent for a warrior looking for an intense one-on-one with a battle hungry Wukee.

  THE SACRED WATERFALL
Behind the Monkey King's throne, there is a majestic waterfall. If one were to stand under it, their body would surely be crushed under the water's sheer pressure alone. However, with the king's permission, one can dive behind the waterfall, and gain knowledge from what's on the other side...
Fun Fact: They say back when Chief KaiLong and Agokong were younger, they used to meditate together there for training purposes.)

children-of-the-sea-kaijūno-kodomo.gif  THE WAHOU ISLAND OCEANS
And despite how small the island surface is... what hides beneath the waters is massive!
A home to a myraid of deep sea life and societies that make their homes deep under water!
Wahou Warriors who are seeking a real thrill train extensively in preparation for the legendary cave dive.
As of right now, the majority of the Wahou Island Oceans remain unexplored...
though every year, divers attempt to go deeper and deeper in search for what's at the bottom of the ocean.

  [SURFACE WATERS] FISHIN HOT SPOT
The surface waters! Where it's so clear one can easily forget just how deep it goes!
Entire communities of warring pirates plunder and work tirelessly to find the treasures hidden deep within the Wahou Sea waves.
Fishermen also love to linger around, as well as those who just want to sail on the open waters!
Mermaids and other water dwelling mahous love to also hang around here to trade, play, as well as sing for the island locals.

  [DEEPER WATERS] OCTOBOOFER PARADISE
Going under the waves is not so bad here, schools of Bubble-Bath-Eyes as well as other Creachers call this place their home.
It's a popular site for both Creacher Researchers as well as divers to hangout! Just make sure you're well equipped!
Mermaids and those who visit the surface often tend to make the deeper waters their home.

  [DEEP SEA] SUNKEN SHIP CITY
An underwater (literal) "ghost" town stands as a haunting sight, its ruins shrouded in mystery and the subject of numerous ghost stories. Serving as the largest city beneath the Wahou Sea, it is a collection of wrecked pirate ships, ferries, and other remnants that have descended to the ocean floor. These wrecks are the remnants of vessels that once wreaked havoc during the poaching craze, presumably destroyed by vengeful Octoboofers. Among the remnants, both Creachers and antisocial deep-sea residents find their homes, adapting to the remnants of the world above. Thanks to the phenomenon of deep-sea gigantism, the denizens of this underwater realm surpass even the size of the average Wahou Islander.

  [DEEP OCEAN ABYSS]
Little is known about the unfathomable depths of the Wahou Island oceans, where the water pressure becomes so intense that it renders diving impossible. Locals have only gleaned a few insights into this mysterious realm, understanding that any life thriving in such depths would rely on bioluminescence and an unwavering will to survive. Occasionally, eerie echoes of distant "GLUB GLUBS" can be heard, hinting at the presence of unknown entities lurking in the abyssal darkness, but beyond that, the secrets of this enigmatic realm remain elusive.

WOOHOO! GOT IT? NOW, ENJOY YOUR STAY AT WAHOU ISLAND~!!
