Style Challenge

Monochrome

November's style challenge is... Monochrome! This month you have to make a code with a monochromatic colour scheme, meaning that all colours in your code have to use the same hue!

In addition to your one hue you may also use pure black and white, though you may not use greys unless you're making a code in full greyscale. It's also recommended that you don't use theme/bootstrap colours for this challenge, since the hues are inconsistent across themes.

To put together your palette, we recommend that you use a site like colorhexa. This site lets you input a colour, and it gives you matching colours and alternative shades.

The monochromatic scale will be particularly useful at a glance, but you can also use the shade, tint and tone scales for your palette.

(The colour used here is our primary colour, #d96767. You can see its colour charts here!)

Guidelines

The Challenge:

  • Create a monochromatic code!
  • All colours in your code be in the same hue.
  • Images do not need to be monochromatic - but try to match them to your palette if possible.

You may

  • Use pure white (#ffffff) or black (#000000) with any hue.
  • Use greys - but only in full greyscale codes.

You may not...

  • Frankenstein, copy or take heavy inspiration from other coders. All code should be your own.

Your posted code should link back to this challenge - it can simply be linked in a text block above the preview.

You're always allowed to release your finished challenge as a P2U code!

If anything is unclear regarding the guidelines you can send a comment here!

Submissions will close on November 25th, 8PM CET.
