Localizado no pequeno pedaço de terra, que ainda pertence a região da Ilha, o Forte dos Mortos era, a milhares de anos atrás,
a moradia de grandes caçadores de monstros.
As viagens constante de navios da costa até a ilha, demorava um tempo considerável, além de ser muito cansativo. Para resolverem isso,
os caçadores que conseguiram sobreviver a ilha, construíram seu abrigo na parte mais remota e sem vida da região, onde havia poucos
monstros rondando, pela falta de presas e pelo pouco espaço de terra que ali tinha.

Mesmo a lugar se localizando no ponto mais "seguro" da Ilha, os caçadores ainda tinham se que preocupar em eliminar algumas ameaças
que ficavam por perto. Com o tempo, eles foram aumentando a segurança da construção, adicionando muros, porões, armadilhas, construindo poços de
agua em volta, tudo o que eles conseguiriam para tornar o local mais tranquilo para eles.

O forte começou pequeno, com um ou outro Eilin habitando o local, mas não demorou para outros chegarem,
atrás da gloria e da fortuna de levar a cabeça de um monstro de volta para o continente.

A rotina se resumia em se separar em pequenos grupos para exterminar os monstros locais e os das outras partes da Ilha obscura, e quando
o trabalho fosse concluído, voltar em segurança para sua moradia.

Apenas um caçador sobreviveu, escondido no porão, fugiu da ilha assim que o monstro foi embora do forte.

Misteriosamente, esse Eilin não viveu muitos anos depois, após ter escapado da ilha e abandonado a vida de caçador, veio a falecer
dois anos depois, resultado de uma doença muito violenta e rara, totalmente desconhecida.
