Hani is known to have a cheerful and loving personality. Since Hani barely had any friends in his past, he's affectionate and clingy towards his members, and fortunately they reciprocate. Hani is one of the moodmakers of the group and is talkative, but he doesn't like sending long texts. He prefers to call instead of texting, since he finds texting to be a bit of an inconvenience.

I don't feel sad, I don't shed tears

Hani doesn't like to stand still and be unproductive, so he would make dance covers and video edits. Hani also loves to surprise his members, whether it be surprise birthday parties or pranks. He likes seeing their reactions, though he panics when they react with tears in their eyes.

INTERVIEW TIME!

01.
How was it like training for your group?

To think I trained for 3 years for the group... A lot happened. Before I even trained, my life was already difficult so I think I had a pretty strong mentality when I began training. There were many times where I hid myself in the bathroom to cry, but eventually those years were worth it. I finally get to show my abilities and personality in such a loving family that is MESSIRE!

02.
Which member did you get along with first?

I don't know if this will come as a surprise or not, but Yuu was the first member. It's why I'm really close with him! Not only was he like my baby when he was struggling to improve in his training and Korean, but he always brightens up my day no matter what. He's the light of my life!

03.
Could you explain your representative emoji?

I was told I look like a fox, so that's why I pick the emoji. It was kind of hard thinking of an emoji that fits me, but I went with something simple like a fox.

04.
What are your hobbies?

I like to do dance covers and edit videos. What kind of videos? They're just simple edits of me and the members. They can either be cool edits, funny edits, or edits that can probably ruin the members' images. Of course, I'm not releasing those videos~

05.
Do you have a memory you'd like to share?

Min and I were having a date in a cafe and this was during our trainee years. No, I didn't have the mohawk that time. However, Min had long hair and that somehow made people mistake him for a girl. It's not like he had a girly face, but I guess he did pass off as one. He was hit on by a random guy and I told the guy to leave him alone. He said who was I to "her" and I didn't want to say boyfriend. I don't want to act super lovey dovey with Min, so I called myself his brother and the whole time Min was glaring at me. Luckily, that got the stranger to leave him alone, but Min hit my head and said "why didn't you tell him I'm a man?!" Honestly, I don't know why I didn't tell him that. The guy would have probably left quickly knowing that.

My mind's blank right now, hnghmm...
The Beginning

Myungsoo has always been the type of kid to excel in almost everything. His parents would make him take piano lessons, violin lessons, singing lessons, and many more. Even if Myungso has found them fun to do, he couldn't stand having to do many of these at the same time. He wanted to play with his friends too, but his parents wouldn't let him and they eventually drifted apart. Myungsoo's parents were always the one to make his decisions for him, which gave Myungsoo little freedom. The more he continued on like this, the more his energetic and happy self faded away. It's as if he's like a lifeless doll, doing everything his parents wanted from him. When he was asked by one of his teachers what he wanted to do in the future, Myungsoo said he'd choose whatever his parents choose for him.

Myungsoo's parents were fine with any job as long as their son makes lots of money. Myungsoo's parents bought him essentials like a laptop, and when Myungsoo browsed the internet for some entertainment, he was recommended KPOP music videos. This then inspired Myungsoo to improve on music lessons. He even auditioned for a big company and was accepted. When his parents heard about this, they were excited and let Myungsoo stay in the dorms. Myungsoo had to balance between schoolworks and training, and he luckily could manage them. Myungsoo was determined to not only make himself proud, but his parents as well. Myungsoo stayed in the company for 3 years, and all those years were hell for him.

Not only were the trainers extremely abusive, he also had a new diet to follow. He was told that his face can make him the visual of the group, so they made him exercise to get rid of the fats in his body. When Myungsoo turned 19, he was then ordered by the company to perform to adult songs in public. Myungsoo would lock himself in the bathrooms and cry whenever these situations happen. He hated seeing his body and he hated seeing his photos being spread around in the internet. His parents barely contacted him these years and he wonders when they'll check up on him, as he was scared to call them. He knows they'd respond negatively if he calls them by himself, since they scolded him for "not focusing on his lessons" the last time he was taking violin lessons. He was also favored by the staffs and trainers in a way, which made the other trainees in the company dislike him.

This environment made Hani regret auditioning. Everyday, his happiness was taken away from him because everyone only saw him as an object or an enemy. He only stayed in the company for one more year because of his contract and left. Myungsoo didn't want to train anymore, but he decided to audition in another company to see if anything will change. Before he went to the company, he got a makeover and auditioned with a mohawk hairstyle and many piercings. He wanted to see if the company would accept him despite his appearance, and he was accepted for his skills. He was told that he has potential and he stayed in the dorms of the company without letting his parents know that he's training in a new company. After all, they never called him.

Compared to what happened in the previous company, Myungsoo felt more comfortable. He couldn't make any friends, but that was okay with him. His first friend was Yuki and he was practicing his vocals with him. At first, Myungsoo didn't think much of Yuki. But when Myungsoo was sick and had many voice cracks, Yuki stopped him and Myungsoo protested at first, but gave up and was given food and vitamins. Myungsoo then wondered if he could befriend Yuki, so the next day comes and Myungsoo thanks Yuki by buying him takoyaki. The two of them quickly became close friends. Myungsoo took off his lip piercing and many of his ear piercings. After all, he only had his appearance to shock people. He began interacting with other trainees as well and made many friends, which brought back his joyful personality. He finally felt like he had something to look forward to in life.

After spending 4 years in his previous company, Myungsoo felt like everything was too much in his life. All the pain and suffering he had to endure in his previous company traumatized him and he couldn't stand it anymore. But he still got another chance to become an idol despite his appearance and demeanor. However, when MESSIRE's debut was announced, the trainees from Myungsoo's previous company began to "expose" him. They spread false rumors about how Myungsoo bullied them and this made Myungsoo have a panic attack. The MESSIRE comforted Hani and the company immediately took actions against the trainees. Fortunately for Myungsoo, there were other trainees who trained in the previous company standing up for him, as they dealt with the same toxic environment Myungsoo dealt with.

The trainees on Myungsoo's side began to speak up about the mistreatment they suffered in the company, so Myungsoo spoke up as well, exposing the terrible environment and mistreatment he experienced in the previous company. Myungsoo was proven innocent and MESSIRE's debut was secured. When Myungsoo debuted, his parents called him to tell him how proud they are for him and how strong he is to endure all those years. Myungsoo cried for a long time with his members comforting him, feeling many mixed emotions. While he's glad to know that his parents still remember him, he resented them for what they did to him in his childhood and how they never checked up on him until he debuted. He also felt guilty towards his members, as he felt that this bump in the road to their debut hurt their reputation, his members comforted him again, telling him that this bump in the road won't stop the six of them and Hani is needed in their team. Even though Hani felt like such a huge burden to them, they knew how to lift up that burden off him.

Yuu was the first friend Hani made during his trainee years. Because of Yuu's kindness, Hani felt comfortable with him. Hani loves how Yuu would always cheer up his day no matter what and how Yuu is quick to defend Hani whenever something happens to him. When Hani had to deal with false accusations against him, Yuu held his hand, letting Hani know he'll always be there for him. Yuu will always be there to ease Hani's pain and amp up his happiness.

When Hani saw Hyunwoo's rebellious acts towards the trainers, he didn't think badly of him and instead was curious. When Hani approached Hyunwoo, Hyunwoo was unwilling to talk to him, but when Hani opened up about how terrible his old company treated him, Hyunwoo also opened up to him about the trainers he had. Hani related a lot to Hyunwoo and despite how annoyed they are at each other, they always have each other's backs.

Erotic prince

Hani and Min became good friends when Min complimented Hani after Hani changed his appearance. Hani was surprised that an amazing trainee approached him, and he felt like he could become good friends with him. Hani would also ask Min for help in vocal training, and the two of them would go drinking with each other.

Chaos buddy

Hani saw Andy crying while praying, and not wanting to leave him by himself, Hani prayed alongside him. Andy opened up to Hani about the discrimination he's faced and Hani soon became one of the people who would stand up for Andy. He and Andy became friends after that, and they'd play pranks on the members and cause chaos in the dorms.

Hot body

Hani didn't really pay much attention to Dae at first, but he noticed he's Min's best friend and just like what he did with Min, he would ask to hang out with him even when they aren't close yet. The two ended up having a tom and jerry dynamic as Hani would always tease Dae to get an interesting reaction out of him, but Dae could always think up of funnier comebacks.
