Child of the Sun
"He will be a child of the Earth who walks the path of the Sun."
A half-human and child of the sun, Ra is a brave and spirited youth with a mysterious ability to bring light and fight back against the "Night" phenomenon that threatens the world of Gi. He is optimistic, kind, determined, passionate, charismatic, and ambitious; qualities that lead others to describe him as "radiant" -- a fitting description of the prophesized savior and the one who will someday hold the title: "God of the Sun." In truth though, despite being the chosen, Ra is initially very naive and inexperienced. His true potential is first drawn out when he has a fateful encounter with Wing, a nomad shrouded in mystery.
Once upon a time, the world was united. But just as foretold, the flames of War were lit. When the Sky God Horus submitted to his rage, and the balance of the world was upset. Just as foretold in prophecy, a storied Night descended, cloaking the land in darkness and fear. But hope remained in the form of a spirited youth, a child of the Earth who walked the path of the Sun. A boy who was drawn to adventure like a moth to a flame. A pure heart that was yet untainted by darkness. A bridge between two races; a light in the darkness. His name has been uttered in prophecy for millenia, in the tounge of the ancients. He who will sit upon the throne of the Sun God. His name was...
Wing | Mentor/Protector/Companion
While Ra can consider Wing his closet friend, it's also quite easy for him to get into small arguments with him. These arguments are usually along the lines of Ra questioning everything Wing says. Perhaps this is due to Ra's tendency towards constant curiosity. Perhaps it's simply because of how close they are that they quarrel so often. But another factor may be Ra's hunch about Wing's mysterious background...Nevertheless, Ra looks up to Wing immensely, and often tries to impress him. Wing is good at giving genuine feedback, so the two can almost be seen like teacher and student, or father and son. Still, the curious Ra can't help but feel like he needs to know if Wing is hiding something...and what it is that he's hiding.
Isis | Friend...? Rival, ironically "perfect match"
The two of them fight CONSTANTLY, but when the conversation is about something they agree on, or the topic of adventure, they become so mutually excited that one might mistake them for having a very strong relationship. Which isn't that far from the truth, actually, but neither of them will admit that they enjoy eachothers company. Ra is convinced that Isis is "annoying and pushy", while Isis is convinced that Ra is "ignorant and uncultured." But the two of them are more alike than they think, and despite all of their fighting, care a lot about each other. Yet again, neither of them will admit it.
Bennu | Friend, little sister/brother figure
Ra sees Bennu like a little sister/brother/sibling that he's never had, and he enjoys spending time with them. The two of them get along really well, and after she warms up to Ra, Bennu sticks to him like glue. Ra sees no harm in assisting Bennu in his mischief, but Isis is more than dissaproving of Ra "encouraging him." Because of this, Bennu is fond of Ra but disfavors Isis. Isis is often subject to Bennu's rascally pranks and annoyances, but Ra just laughs it off. Isis says she's concerned that Bennu is a "bad influence" on Ra, but maybe she's just jealous that they get along so well with each other...
