Personality:

• Presents a confident and knowledgable front, has a booming voice that he knows can command attention, and tries to emphasize these traits when around September or creatures he needs to impress. Usually a little bit grumpy, has a short fuse and is vocal about things/creatures he dislikes – prone to yelling when upset. Stubborn, almost always thinks himself is in the right, and is a bit petty. Not very good at lying tbh, unless he REALLY needs too, very much an emotions on his sleeve kinda guy.
• Will beat up or otherwise fuck up another creature’s shit if they mess with him or someone he cares about, protective, a bit possessive. Prideful of Valencia’s prowess as a house, and his own position as the heir, has a similar drive as September to expand the powers of the house. Likes to feel powerful and in control.
• Surprisingly good at organizing things/responsible in general, good at organizing others to get things done, detail oriented and very knowledgable about things he commits to learning/knowing. However most of the intricacies and social runarounds of politics confuses + bores him, much to September’s distaste and disappointment (isn’t good at reading others, or getting into other creatures heads). Goes about things a little less callously than September (how can creatures work at their full potential if they are exhausted/injured ?), doesn’t see creatures as expendable pawns like September, But still works towards maximum efficiency if possible. A stern boss for sure, but not a ruthless one.
• When not around those he needs to impress, mellows out considerably. Generally, more quiet (though his natural speaking voice is still somewhat loud), and slows down enough to be gentle and caring (mostly towards June). Usually needs creatures to say things to him outright, bad at reading between the lines, but does listen genuinely if creatures actually talk to him (and is honest/outright himself towards others. Bad at lying. Also kinda gullible). Is fairly touch-averse.

Magic notes:

• is trained at growth magic, but not particularly strong or impressively skilled at it – a little above average at best (again, to September’s disappointment. Is insecure about this, and tries to make up for it with his physical fighting abilities. Constantly reaching for September's approval, and doesn't realize that's never rlly gonna happen until like,, a while). Never really had the inherent skills/strength to be good at fighting magic, has learned more practical magic instead, but he still takes pride in this.
• His main job is to monitor and organize containing the rapid growth of Daharus around the Valencia territory, making sure the plants don’t grow enough to be debilitating or dangerous. Also making sure that the structure of the manor that is made of plants (Root-bridges, houses, ladders, floors) is all in order and looks nice/presentable. He monitors/organizes the more artistic plant-work (flower arrangements, decorative hanging mosses, gardens etc) but doesn’t actually work on them himself like he does the former. Has an eye for art, and definitely an appreciation, but not the skill level to do it himself.
