BACKSTORY | PERSONALITY |
| Iridescent Moonstone was created to become a companion to a high-ranking Sapphire, as it was found that Moonstones could create an 'aura' of sorts that increased the clarity of a Sapphire's visions. While the resources needed to create Moonstones are quite common, the gems themselves are rarities as they are not seen as essential parts of establishing colonies or even just living on homeworld. Iridescent was treated poorly in her station, and used as an object, or a tool more than anything else - simply called when her aura was needed, and left alone the rest of the time. Iridescent, sick of this treatment and knowing she wouldn't be missed, started wandering further and further when she wasn't needed, eventually finding herself returning to the kindergarten - underground and abandoned - or so she thought. After visiting several times, she ran into two abandoned gems, fused together by their gems, that were deemed not worth even shattering. These gems, Ametrine, were eager to become friends and hear tales of gem society. Eventually the trio escaped the planet together, sick of how they'd been thrown aside unwanted, aided by the help of one of Moonstone's friends- Peach Pearl, and took up residence on a planned colony that had been abandoned by Homeworld several planets away. | Iridescent Moonstone is the queen of self-confidence. She is a stunningly pretty gem, and knows it. One of the reasons that she was able to break away from the strict rules and regimes of Homeworld is that she is completely aware of her own self worth. However, in spite of this she isn't stuck up or judgmental, as she believes everyone is equally beautiful and worthy of respect. She believes this wholly, and it is one of the main things she lives her life by. She would never speak badly about anyone behind their back, and has a strong sense of integrity. Doesn't put up with stuff she doesn't agree with, she will try and compromise, but if that doesn't work, she'll just leave. She is stubborn, and has a strong sense of right and wrong. She can be very stuck in her ways and opinions- for better or for worse. While she's definitely not a doormat, and can tell when she's being used, she is incredibly loyal to her friends and would do absolutely anything for them. She's in tune with people's emotions, and can calm them down when needed. Like many other Moonstones, she is incredibly empathetic. |
