Tangerine Garnet (Pigeon's Blood Ruby)

Pidge is hot-headed, stubborn, and quick to jump to conclusions. She is stubborn, and unforgiving in her quest to punish those who wronged her or Yellow Sapphire. She is taller than the average Ruby and has strange splotches on her skin, but no-one knows if this is a defect or if all the other Rubies are the defective ones. She does not have a physical weapon but can summon and manipulate lava, much like a Lapis with water.

On Homeworld, Pidge was the commander of a squadron of Ruby soldiers. Some Gems thought her flawed because of her height and odd markings, while others looked up to her as an example of peak Ruby performance. One of her squadron’s tasks was to transport a Sapphire around Homeworld, but Pidge soon realised that the Sapphire was more than just a job to her. After expressing her feelings to Sapph, the aristocratic gem revealed that the feeling was mutual. Knowing their relationship was forbidden, they escaped into the Kindergarten labyrinths on Homeworld, where they fused into Tangerine for the first time. They escaped the planet on a stolen ship, leaving the leaderless Ruby squadron and a very pissed-off Yellow Diamond behind.
