Tangerine Garnet (Yellow Sapphire)

Sapph is a very cool, calm, and collected Gem who enjoys the simple things in life, such as watching the sunset or planting flowers to attract butterflies. On the rare occasion she speaks, she does so with the utmost sincerity and truthfulness, and is quick to forgive other’s wrongdoings. She can be mistaken as cold or ignorant but she simply prefers not to let her emotions show.

Back on Homeworld, Sapphire (being the important gem that she is) was assigned a squadron of Rubies to transport her around the planet. The leader of the squadron, Pigeon’s Blood Ruby, immediately attracted her attention, and not just for her battle prowess or unusual appearance. After the Ruby confessed she felt the same about Sapphire as Sapph did about her, they escaped into the Kindergarten labyrinths on Homeworld, where they fused into Tangerine for the first time. They escaped the planet on a stolen ship, leaving the leaderless Ruby squadron and a very pissed-off Yellow Diamond behind.
