Profile
- Linitaa is the “Wolf” female Selkie (1st skin in game). I did her 2nd and 3rd outfits.
- Got helped by a friend for 2nd outfit.
- Her name simply comes from a screenshot in the booklet that came with the game.
Linitaa can seem distant at first, but slowly opens up if talked to. She likes reading and learn new things about the world, even though it's out of reach before she becomes a caravanner.
Background
Linitaa lives with her father in Tipa. They’re a family of carpenters. Linitaa's mother was a caravanner and died during a journey when Linitaa was 6.
That event shook her life and even shaped it; her father never really emotionally recovered from the loss and withdrew from other people, becoming detached from everything. Linitaa and him have since then been pretty solitary people, and don't share a lot of things even between them. Linitaa eventually becomes pretty much the same as him, numbing her emotions to be able to get through life.
As her mother told her a lot about her adventures when she was a child, Linitaa is still naturally pretty curious about the outside world. She keeps reading various books and her mom's journals, and even though Linitaa lost her to her caravanner vocation, she can see how proud her mother felt to be one. She also reads how her mom was torn between being there for Linitaa, whom she truly loved, and her will to keep traveling, both for her own satisfaction and her will to protect Linitaa's life and the village.
While growing up, it becomes more and more obvious to Linitaa that she wants to do the same, even though her reasons differ a bit. Her curiosity coupled to how bored she is in Tipa (and lonely, even though she doesn't recognize that yet) eventually leds her to make the decision to become a caravanner when she is 15. She starts using an old weapon from her mom to train with it and exercising regularly. While doing so, she gets noticed by Délia, who eventually goes and chat with her, then even train with her. They start to spend some time together.
When Linitaa finally tells her father about her decision to become a caravanner, their relationship -which was fine but pretty distant- becomes tense, as her dad doesn't want her to leave, still scarred by Loa Sie's loss. They both stay on their positions, until when she's 16 years old, Linitaa finally leaves for her first journey.
Délia becomes Linitaa's first real friend before they start their journey together. To Linitaa, Délia feels like an opposite to her at first. She's lively and goes through a lot of emotions and lets them show; Linitaa feels both envious and worried about it somehow. She grows fond of Délia over time and wants to be there for her, just like Délia was the one to reach out to her and help her come out from her dull days.
Linitaa notices that Roy seems to be more quiet and reserved than the others, and likes to have alone time, a trait that she relates to. His kindness and care for the others, often over his own good, makes her pay more attention to him. Over time, Linitaa realizes that she cares a lot for him and wants to watch over him, but also that she feels comfortable with him, trusting him enough to confide in him when needed.
Once she gets comfortable enough with the caravan, Linitaa likes to chat with Weylin, knowing that she'll always have something new to learn with her or interesting topics and mysteries to talk about. She holds Weylin in good esteem, because of her curiosity and wisdom, and her quiet temper.
Though they take a while before warming up to each other, Linitaa likes to talk with Ramsey for similar reasons as with Weylin. Later in the story, she learns that Ramsey felt like she was taking his place as Délia's older sibling, but they discuss things out and keep befriending over their common interests more naturally.
Lylia's chatty habits, her hot temper and liveliness can sometimes be a lot for Linitaa. That said, Lylia also makes her feel welcome in the caravan pretty quick because she's open and kind with her, and shows interest in knowing her better. They end up relating to each other because of their loss of a parent when they were younger.
Linitaa doesn't take Luu Kah too seriously because of his laidback attitude. After a few events in Alfitaria where Linitaa is wrongly accused of stealing in Luu Kah's place, she gets to see a more serious side of him when he shows guilt about it and wants to make up for it. They don't become very intimate but they do like and respect each other, and Linitaa likes to use friendly sarcasm with him.
