- Ramsey's design is based on a Clavat bro from the game.
- Even his first outfit is not really the same as the NPC tho. The only reference I had back then was from low res display on an old TV.
- I did the 2nd outfit, the 3rd was made by Himmel; I just chose the colors.
- Ramsey chose to go from a sword to daggers during his first year as a caravanner.
Ramsey is lively and curious about a lot of things. He likes to read when not working at the family shop. He is close to his family and is especially protective over his little sister Délia.
Background
Ramsey was born in Tipa, as the first child of a merchant family.
Like Délia, he grows up with usual Clavats' values. He's patient and compassionate with other people. He has a loving family and pretty much everything he needs.
Ramsey is close to Délia, who was born 4 years after him. When Ramsey is between 4 and 10 years old, he has a hard time with her because he believes she's taking his place. Over time, and with the help of his parents, Ramsey finally comes to terms with it. He then accepts to play with her and does find enjoyment in it, and also takes some responsibility in raising her, slowly starting to really care about her being happy and safe. He then shows pretty much the same care for their younger brother Samuel.
When Ramsey is a teen, through his various readings and discussions with his dad -a former caravanner- the idea of traveling and seeing the world with his own eyes is becoming a tempting one. He starts learning how to use a sword and a shield with his dad, then keeps training with Luu Kah, after becoming friends with him when he's 14. The both of them talk about how they'd like to be caravanners, and when he's 16, Ramsey tells his family he'd really like to leave with the caravan the year after.
The decision isn't easy as he feels bad for leaving Délia and Samuel, and making them worry about him while he'll be gone for his journey. He still ultimately decides to go, and leaves for his first journey when he's 17. He thus gets to be a caravanner for two years prior to the start of the main story.
When the main story begins and Délia leaves for her first journey, Ramsey stays in Tipa to help their family -which was what they all agreed to do. That being said, Ramsey can't stay still and when Alfitaria's caravan stops by the village a week after Délia left, he finally leaves Tipa with them to travel to Marr, in order to be reunited with his caravan.
Ramsey cares deeply about Délia and her well-being. Their interactions are warm, and they confide in each other whenever they need to. During their adventures, Ramsey always keeps her safety in mind, sometimes worrying too much about her. He later learns to let go a bit of his overprotectiveness.
Ramsey and Luu Kah start with a tense relationship when they're 14 and 12, but they soon become friends. They like to chat, have fun and practice together, and can be quite adventurous. They leave together for their first journey as caravanners when they're 17 and 15. Ramsey changes his fighting style because he looks up to Luu Kah's agility and wants to mimic it.
Ramsey is familiar with Roy mostly because of Délia hanging out with him, but he also comes to help him at the farm sometimes. Knowing that Roy has some confidence issues, Ramsey tries to be supportive whenever the need comes. He holds him in good esteem.
Ramsey gets to know Weylin more when he travels with her during his first journey. Since she's the caravan's captain and is older than him, and because she seems to be curious and knows many things, he soon has a lot of respect for her. They get to work well as a team in tense battle situations, and kind of become the wise minds of the team.
Ramsey gets to know Lylia more when he leaves for his first journey. Even if she's her senior when it comes to being a caravanner, her lively and chatty temper soon makes him feel at ease. Despite some group troubles during their first year together, they then become familiar, build trust in each other and sincerely care about each other.
Even though Ramsey keeps it for himself, he first doesn't feel like getting close to Linitaa because of her relationship with Délia. To him, she's kinda taking his role of older sibling. Over time, Ramsey and Linitaa do befriend over their natural curiosity for a lot of topics, and like to spend time reading and analyzing some things they learn together.
