- Luu Kah's 1st design is the “Bandanna” Selkie. I made his skin darker because of his parents coming from Leuda. In my headcanon, Selkies there have darker skin since they’ve lived in the desert for a few centuries.
- His red headband was a gift from Gan Noo when he left for his first caravanner journey.
- His second outfit was made by Himmel. I changed some details and chose the colors.
Luu Kah is usually pretty laid back, and he likes to joke and tease people. He gives a lot of importance about money and the treasures he can find during the journey, and loves eating. As a Selkie he’s pretty agile during battles.
Background
Luu Kah is the son of two Selkies who came from Leuda on Lynari island. He has an older brother, Gan Noo, and they both were born in Tipa. They’re a family of fishers.
Luu Kah learns to fish pretty young because of their occupation. As every villager, his parents also give him basic education (reading and writing). That said, his parents become more neglectful over time, and the time spent with them is mostly for fishing and various housework, barely having nice times together. He does have some fun time with his brother though.
Their parents’s neglect turns into not caring that they have enough to eat, or get new clothes when needed, or just spending quality time with them or doing things to make them happy. They’re also pretty strict about their sons having to fit in the village and they care a lot about them showing good behavior.
Gan Noo makes a few friends in the village over time, but Luu Kah doesn’t try to. When he’s about 11, feeling that he doesn’t possess much compared to other people, he starts stealing some things in the village, be it food or items. His mother catches him one day and rages on him; after this point she doesn't try to hide anymore that she's tired of having her sons -and so is their father-, and Gan Noo and Luu Kah soon understand that they actually weren't desired.
When he's 12 years old, after stealing from Ramsey's family shop and going through some tensions with him, Luu Kah stops thievery, mostly out of pride. He eventually befriends with Ramsey and they start spending time together. Luu Kah later wants to become a caravanner when he’s 14 after many training sessions with his brother and Ramsey. He wants to leave the house far from his parents and get to live some adventures. He expects to make some money too, as a step to become independent. He’s also influenced by his brother, who was a caravanner during two years before Luu Kah leaves—during this time, Gan Noo brings useful and valuable things home for him, and they also get to eat more properly. Luu Kah starts his first journey at 15.
Luu Kah likes to spend time with Ramsey for mock battles, training and chilling. Ramsey was basically the reason he stopped stealing when he was 12, and his friendship with him allowed Luu Kah to have nicer times away from his parents. He has a lot of respect for Ramsey, seeing him as someone kind and accepting, although he's not the kind to say it out loud.
During his first year as caravanner, Luu Kah is kinda indifferent about Lylia, sometimes finding her annoying. They need some time to get used to each other; their personalities eventually lead them to enter into a bickering game with each other, which goes on over the years. They do end up working well as a team and caring about each other, but they never show it openly, or through indirect actions.
Luu Kah first doesn't know what to think about Weylin, not connecting with her distant behavior and her centers of interest that don't match his. He ends up warming up to her when she shows her honest will to keep her teammates safe during their first two years together. Once Weylin lets her trolling habits show, Luu Kah catches up on that and likes to tease her too.
Luu Kah gets to know Délia more when he starts hanging out with Ramsey. He quickly sees her as Ramsey's protégée, and then becomes comfortable with her because of spending time in their family sphere. During their journeys together, they like to tease each other, but they also show compassion and care when needed.
Although he didn't often spend time with Roy before being a caravanner, Luu Kah often heard about him because of his "perfect boy" reputation, which his parents often mentioned as a role model. Luu Kah first sees him as a blank boy and doesn't really understand why he's a caravanner. He warms up to him during the hardships they endure together, and when seeing he's actually not "perfect", but is a sensitive and brave boy.
Luu Kah gets to know Linitaa more when they first travel together. Even if he doesn't think about it consciously, he kinda sees himself in her because of her loneliness at the start, and later pinpoints the fact that, ironically, they needed to get out of the village to make friends. He develops respect for her because of both her physical and mental strength. Like with the others, he can tease her when feeling like it.
