Kairi is a mermaid who lives in the shallows near our main beach town. She meets Nadine one night after she crashes in a bad wave, and the two have a revealing conversation once she wakes up.
Kairi had believed that humans had disappeared, and so was overjoyed that not only had she met one, but excited to hear that Nadine supposedly lived in a town full of them. Kairi learns how to disguise herself as nearly human and shows up in the town a few days later, looking for Nadine.
Kairi grew up in a small pod of mermaids, but was left behind when they wanted to move to deeper waters.
Kairi has no knowledge of creatures beyond humans and those in the sea.
Transforming to a human is something that not all mermaids can do, though Kairi states it was easy enough once she figured it out.
- Kairi's hair is naturally purple, and cannot change.
- Kairi retains a few patches of scales while in human form.
- Kairi cannot breathe in air normally, and has asthma-like symptoms while in human form.

Nadine was the first human that Kairi ever met, and the one to show her the wonders of the world of dry land. Kairi hopes that they'll never have to be apart.
Oliver is determined to tell everyone about how Kairi is a mermaid, and Kairi thinks it's sweet. The two have had numerous conversations ending with giggles and blushing.
Nadine introduced Kairi to Katrina one day while they were walking through the gardens. Kairi doesn't know much about her yet, but she does seem nice.
