Kaine Arkanus's Links
Ark is absolutely interested in Darkness's unpredictable movements. He finds Lan's love and adoration for life both confusing and pitifully hilarious. He watches the embodiment, tracking his movements and whereabouts. There's something powerful Lan's hiding, and he'll find it.
Lan knew about Kaine from the very beginning, sensing his corruption the minute he was born. It was not a corruption born from taboo love, but of Fate's own decision. Just as Kaine is setting in forth the motion to end everything, Lan has kept watch over someone capable of stopping him and fixing the corrupt light blinding the land.
Ark was behind Dragon's entire existence, guiding the creature's soul into making a suitable body. In return, the creature would possess Dragon in due time and use his monstrous power to serve Ark in battle. It would help him... for a short time. He knew Dragon would try to take back control, and he's set up a plan to fix even that.
Dragon has no idea about the man behind the curtain. However, in the future he does meet the man and agree to help him, unaware that this help means letting himself be possessed by the soul sealed inside him.
Despite his goal to wipe out all life, Ark takes an interest in Ethan. He doesn't do anything special or different, he's perfectly average, and he doesn't try to hide it. Something like that is incredibly refreshing for Ark, and oftentimes he'll converse with the man for humbling amusement.
He has no idea who exactly Kaine is, but the guy dresses fancy and spends money like it's nothing! What's even wilder is that Kaine actually WANTS to hang out with him a lot! Ethan doesn't protest because, honestly, he's afraid of saying no, and he always gets a lot of free fancy food and oranges. It's kind of like having a... sugar daddy, he guesses?
[Rivals/Childhood Friends] Ark didn't always have the name he does now, or the golden eyes and white hair. Back in his childhood, he was a relatively average child, save his blind eye. There was only one child that cared about him and not his connections, a young boy with snow white hair. They were best friends for years, always trusting each other and relying on each other.
But then Ark lost his fiance and his daughter, and something inside him broke. He was convinced everyone was the same, and with nothing but the deepest hatred controlling his thoughts, he abandoned Roy and focused on total obliteration.
He won't lie, though, that there are times he tried to see how Roy was doing, only to surprisingly never be able to track him, even with light manipulation. Now he's found him, surprised to see that he's learned about his lineage, and that he will be the next Darkness.
It's fitting that his friend would be his opposite, but it doesn't matter. If Roy intends to stop Ark, then he'll just stop him like all the others.
[Rivals/Childhood Friends] From the very beginning they've been friends, bonded by their unusual traits - Roy's white hair and Ark's blind eye. They grew up watching each others backs, the only ones they could confide to.
Roy was happy when his friend got engaged and had a child. But by the time he heard about their passing, Ark had disappeared off the face of the earth. He searched everywhere for him, only to find him years later with a new name and a new appearance, claiming to help save the world.
Roy still has a difficult time understanding just what's happened to Ark. It breaks his heart, and he'll do whatever he can to save him... but... he may have to come to terms with the fact that there's no saving Ark anymore...
"Look me in the eyes and say that again."
"This is my evil husband."
Who would have thought one of the most infamous thieves out there was bottling in some loneliness issues? It made it far easier for Ark to rewrite and control his memories until he was nothing but a glorified puppet. Now if people were to think this suddenly heartless thief was the work of the embodiment of darkness, however...
Jackson owes his entire life to Ark. Not only did the god give him another chance at life, but improved his skills by helping him to focus on what was truly important. He will do anything Ark asks without question.
Among the businesses Ark runs in his spare time, he also overlooks a grocery store chain. He comes down now and then to clean up problems, to which Kass helps him find them. She's lost her energy as a good worker, but he's amused with her determination to keep fighting and working hard.
Kass isn't sure how this corporate ladder works, but apparently Ark has higher rank than Jet, and the rare times he's down he usually takes Kass's side! Dude reeks of money and power, but as long as he takes her side she's fine with what he does!
[AU - Lover] Never had Ark fathomed the idea of being in love. It was, after all, nothing more than a bothersome emotion so many people were desperate to grab. But when he met Izumi and his little daughter, Sachiko... something in him changed. Maybe it was because it was a life he longed for, but he found himself attached to the small family.
[AU - Lover] Izumi wasn't expecting to find love when he found an unconscious man in his neighborhood with a seeming anger management issue. As fate would have it however they kept bumping into each other. Soon Izumi couldn't deny his own feelings nor the feelings of his daughter Sachiko who was attached to Ark in a way she had only clung to Izumi prior. It was like Izumi had found the missing piece of the puzzle and the family of two became a family of three.
[AU] For someone that wants to convince people to fight themselves into oblivion, Drakenburg is a great start! It was there he ran into Nate and practically forced the poor fisherman to be his guide. He's noticed, though, that Nate has some peculiar powers. In fact, some people in this land do. That just might make this trip all the more interesting...
[TH AU] Ark was everything Nathaniel hated. Rich, powerful and in charge.. And yet!!... The big man crossed his arms whenever he thought of Ark. It wasn't like he liked him or something.
[AU] A man who can see the past and a man that can see the future, what a pair. Admittedly, Viper is a bit of an enigma. He's undoubtedly an annoying pest, but there is some amusement to watching his shenanigans. Ark can't honestly tell if he's irritated or intrigued by him.
[AU] Ark is a man that Viper could quote on quote "fall in love with". Not that it actually means anything, but in his own little weird way, he enjoys his company very much and loves behaving extremely needy and overly annoying in his life. How better to feel like you're not the only evil one in the world than to bug another villainous personality!
Cor runs a good business, but is no threat to Ark, both through jobs and their abilities. He thinks the world can be censored? No, it needs to be restarted.
There's only one business Cor hasn't been able to topple, and that's Ark's. The guy himself is incredibly powerful, even Cor knows he'd be in trouble if he tried to fight him.
