Blackjack is a travelling entertainer, often performing card tricks (and scams) to wide audiences. She sticks to the streets, sleeping wherever she can and stealing food from the people she's visiting. She enjoys the lifestyle, as it allows her a chance to explore places she never would have been able to go otherwise, as she does not belong to any specific Kingdom.
After a trip to a small town in the Heart Kingdom, Blackjack came across Cordelia in the crowd of one of her performances. She was immediately in love with the cute shy witch she saw in the back of the crowd, and ignored all her usual scams to go find her. She spent months with her, the longest Blackjack had ever stayed in one town before. After the two officially got together, she decided to stay in town to stay with Cordelia. She wasn't used to having an actual home or someone to come back to, so she often goes on weekend trips to other nearby towns to keep up the habit of travelling. No matter how far she strays, she always comes home to Cordelia in the end.
