"Well, I ran into your mother..."
One of my favorite characters in the comic. The anti-Mrs. Petersen.
Vera is Roadie's adorable elderly neighbor who lives in the apartment below him. She's a sweet old lady who lives alone and, with her husband passed and her children long since grown and moved away, she has sort of taken it upon herself to be Roadie's mom or grandma.
She's nosy but in a well-meaning way, and loves him like her own family. He often helps her with errands or chores around the house.
More hip and with the times than she appears.
She has a cat named Princess who has adopted Roadie as well.
|Height: 5'1"/155cm||Build: Stooped, somewhat frail|
|Eyes: Light blue||Hair: Gray, wavy|
|Handedness: Right||Style: Grandma chic|
Vera is a sweet woman with a kind face. She keeps her wavy gray hair neatly pinned back. She wears small studs in her pierced ears.
She dresses neatly even at home, usually in a colorful housecoat, a sweater, a scarf or a shawl, and slippers. She uses a walker for stability.
|Pet's Name: Princess||Species: Cat|
|Sex: Female||Breed: Russian Blue|
Princess is a Russian Blue cat, with blue-gray fur, dark gray nose and paw pads, and green eyes. She wears a pink collar with a heart-shaped tag.
She's curious, friendly, and affectionate, and regularly asks to be let into the hallway to check everything and to go upstairs to hang out with Roadie. He loves her and spoils her with tidbits of human food and baby talk in Russian.
