Manami Akabane

Bio

     Ever since she was first chosen by a talking songbird back when she was 16 back in 1988, Manami has been diligently fighting evil as a magical girl. Originally donning the title "The Rose Dutchess", she's the single woman of her original group that's kept going since she was chosen and hasn't given up. All of the other girls that originally fought with her in the 80s and 90s have since either retired or disappeared, but Manami, keeping her resolve and her insurmountable sense of justice, hasn't ever even considered the thought of retirement and putting up her weapons. Although, she can't dedicate her time to being a Magical Girl 24/7 with due to needing to care after her two teenage kids, when evil comes she always shows up to stop it.

     At 50 years old, Manami is old enough that some would want to call her a senior and tell her she's too old to fight, but in the past 35 years she's been a Magical Girl, she hasn't lost her spark and is just as youthful as she was at 16. She's romantic and kind, full of empathy with a strong sense of justice. She gives many second chances, harboring a deep belief that every person has some form of good inside them and the potential to change their ways. Though she does have a bit of a body count on her belt, she has spared more villains than slain them. Manami doesn't have any trust for police, and because of this doesn't work or collaborate with them as a local hero.

     Manami teaches physical education at a local high school. Connected to this, she is a bit of a health-conscious person. Frequently exercising to stay in shape and eating healthy, she wants to stay fit so she can keep up with her duties as a Magical Girl. She likes going on runs, lifting weights, and doing yoga poses. She's very strong and resilient, never getting bruised easy or staying knocked down for long. She's scared villains off in the past simply by just not staying down in a fight. Although supposedly she's still keeping her Magical Girl identity "a secret", everyone knows that the Magic Mom and Manami are one and the same, even her own two kids.
