Michelle Summers

A 34 year old woman that lived in the southern USA in the mid 1970s, Michelle Lee Summers was the levelheaded bartender of a local dyke bar in Tennessee. Considered almost a motherly figure by young queer women in the bar, Michelle was kind, caring, honest, and a good listener. Her job was one that meant the world to her, but she'd lost it one day when the bar was closed down for good due to forces out of the owners' control in 1974.

In need of a new job, Michelle looked into a experimental cryogenic facility that had been hiring, and got a job there as a cleaning woman. One day, during a mishap while cleaning up a chamber room, in a similar vein to Fry from Futurama she slipped and got locked in and frozen inside a cryogenic chamber that had been carelessly left open and set to unthaw during the 2230s. The accident was discovered immediately, but she couldn't be freed even after multiple attempts from a rescue team.

When she finally unfroze and woke up in the 2230s, like Lola, she was stranded. Taking advantage of the quicker travel available in the future, Michelle would soon find herself in the United Kingdom, where she'd meet Lola and Rattz, and hear of their work on trying to repair Lola's time machine. Wanting to go back to her time herself, she'd join them in their efforts.

Michelle is a part of the same story concept as Lola and Rattz, and is the tritagonist of the story. She acts as a voice of reason and a shoulder to cry on, sometimes to the detriment of her own well being. (and also they're not all like. officially together but she occasionally has Things going on with Lola and Rattz)

More about Michelle:

Her full name is Michelle Lee Summers. She's 37 years old and she's a bi trans woman. She often uses a cane when walking due to chronic pain that mainly flares up in her lower legs.

Having lived as a trans woman with chronic pain in southern USA, Michelle's faced a lot of struggles and hardships that she'd never wish on anyone else, and as a result of this, she's always listening and helping others to work through their issues, often to a point where she overextends herself and forgets her own well being. Part of her development in the story would be learning to value herself and her well being, and be just as tender with herself as she is with others.

Michelle is kind, often to a fault, and in her lifetime her kindness and willingness to give people second chances has gotten her hurt on multiple occasions. And although her kindness has never faded, she has had trouble getting herself to trust and be close to other people beyond offering them support and someone who will listen.

At one point, before she took on her job as a bartender, Michelle was a tailor and accrued lots of knowledge about sewing and making clothes. As a result, she often makes her own clothes, tailored to her measurements and her own styles. She continues this habit in the future, along with making clothes for Lola as well, since as you could guess, not many stores in the 2230s, online or no, carry any clothes from the 1930s and 1970s.

Michelle enjoys collecting miniatures and dolls, finding them fascinating, and, particularly with dolls, styling and tailoring their clothing. She's also a huge cat person. Her favorite food is beer cheese fondue and she loves soul music and folk rock. Her voiceclaim is Penny Parker (SnapCube on Youtube). Her birthday is June 16.
