Oreo is a quiet and passionate octoling with a strong sense of identity. Before coming to the surface, she lived in the Octarian Domes with her family, and was considered among the ranks of the elite octoling soldiers. She earned her position from her expertise in weapon development and engineering- a subject that she's incredibly passionate about. However, she abandoned her post shortly after the events of Splatoon 2 (2017 M.E.), to try and find a better life for herself and provide for her family.

After hopping between a few different jobs, Oreo eventually found work at Toni Kensa. She can be found at her desk immersed in analyzing spreadsheets of sales data, but also does some modeling work with Minatoast, Lee, and Ash. In her free time, she can be found reading books, articles, and anything else that captures her interest, as well as visiting places like Shellendorf Institute, and Ammo Knights.

While she does not participate much in Turf Wars and Anarachy Battles, she's an excellent battler. Her specialty lies in the chargers weapon class, specifically the Bamboozler 14 MK I, but she also enjoys playing the Hydra Splatling, Squeezer, Dynamo Roller, and the Explosher. Oreo's aim is very precise, and she could easily be in the likes of S+ rank, but she opts not to because battling is overstimulating for her.

Growing up, Oreo looked up to her parents and siblings, all of which had a hobby that they fervently devoted themselves to (they're a very neruodiverse family). Her family is incredibly supportive and compassionate- and encouraged her to pursue her interest in weapon development + maintenance. She has a very positive relationship with her family, only leaving them (with a promise to come back and help out) because she wanted to know what the surface was like. Though she is not home as much, she still cherishes what they've done for her, and makes an effort to write back to them and send gifts whenever possible. In this respect, Oreo is very family-oriented.

Because of her background, she has a strong sense of empathy towards other individuals, especially to those who are hardworking or doing things for their family. Oreo finds it easy to consider other's perspectives, and enjoys advising others if they seek out her help (and if she's in a state to help them). If someone isn't receptive to what she says, Oreo is able to gracefully exit the conversation to instead focus on things that directly enrich her own quality of life. Her lived experiences have allowed her to know what activities are worth her time.

Oreo's favorite form of self-indulgence is immersing herself in detail-oriented work. She enjoys analyzing finer details and doing precision work, and this manifests in all of her different special interests (weaponry, spreadsheets, programming, tableturf, and other games). To those who don't know her, she comes across as reserved and quiet, but she's simply just focused! Anyone who interacts with Oreo will quickly realize that she's very knowledgeable and has a passion for learning. This is most evident in her love for making powerpoints, but she's also capable of answering questions at length. In general, Oreo is more than enthusiastic to share the knowledge she's amassed to anyone willing to listen. (shoutout to Max, these two are autistic besties)

At her core, Oreo is someone who is very comfortable in her identity, and she wants others to be able to embrace their true selves, and live according to their values.

Oreo was born in the Octarian Domes and had two siblings: Graham (older brother), and Honey (younger sister). All three of them grew up with amicable relations, and were all encouraged to pursue their interests. For Oreo, that was weapon engineering and development.

Splatoon 1 (2015 - 2016)

At the age of 16 (2015 M.E.), Oreo joined the Octarian Army as a weapon engineer in order to provide for her family. Her proficiency with weaponry was quickly recognized, and was invited to the elite ranks. During her time there, she repaired weapons for various soldiers, and contributed to new technological developments. She especially looked up to Marina, and was impressed by her abilities.

Splatoon 2 (2017 - 2022)

After DJ Octavio was defeated by Agent 4, Oreo left the domes in September 2017 to pursue life on the surface. Before leaving, she promised her family that she would continue to send them items to enhance life in the Domes. She found an apartment in Inkopolis Square.

Her life on the surface involved a lot of soul-searching; she hopped between various jobs, including Walleye Warehouse (Sept 2017 - 2020) and Sturgeon Shipyard (Sept 2020 - June 2022). Oreo encountered some difficulties adjusting to life on the surface, but it helped solidify her values into who she is now.

Splatoon 3 (2022 - present)

In June 2022, Oreo found herself bored with her work at Sturgeon Shipyard, and sought out a different job. She eventually decided to work at Toni Kensa as a model and analyst, because she wanted to try something different. Oreo became an official member of Toni Kensa in late July 2022, where she was tasked with analyzing sales, and modeling for photoshoots. She did her work efficiently, and quickly earned the respect of Lee.

It wasn't until the Rock, Paper, Scissors Splatfest in August 2022 that Oreo started to form a friendship with her co-workers (Lee, Minatoast, and Ash). The four of them participated together on Team Rock as per Ash's suggestion (it was for the vlog footage). Oreo's ability to quickly snap her shots to targets and snipe them took Minatoast and Ash by surprise, and both were very impressed. The four of them played together for 30 minutes before Oreo excused herself to have time to decompress.

As Oreo left the lobby, Lee joined her. Lee also sought refuge from the Splatfest, as she wasn't particularly interested in battles. The two of them bought some food to eat together, and quickly bonded over work and hobby topics. From that Splatfest onwards, Lee and Oreo became very close friends.

Whenever Oreo had her lunch break, she often wanted to spend it with Lee, but Lee was often preoccupied with her work to join Oreo. Lee's workaholic tendencies were very readily apparent to Oreo, but Oreo wasn't sure what drove them to work so hard.

Gels' Hospitalization (February 2023)

In February 2023, Gels, an idol that Lee looked up to, was hospitalized for overwork. While Oreo didn't have personal attachment to Gels, she could see how Gels' mannerisms were reflected in Lee, and how Lee was affected by the event. Lee confided to Oreo about her frustration and sadness about Gels overworking herself, and asked Oreo if she would be willing to help them turn a new leaf and relax more. Oreo agreed, and the two became closer as a result.

Lee would take more lunch breaks, and Oreo would join her. The two of them would watch TV together, and would take turn choosing what types of things they'd watch. Oreo liked to watch DIY tutorials and video game footage, and Lee would put on music/idol content + journaling videos. These lunch breaks helped Oreo and Lee understand each other's interests more, and sometimes they would try out things the other person liked. (FOR EXAMPLE: Lee started playing Pikmin because of Oreo! They are the Pikmin couple To Me™ 🥺)

Sometime after the hospitalization event, Oreo eventually met Sydney, who was one of Lee's mutuals on idol twitter. Oreo found Sydney's pleasant demeanor and kind attitude to be nice to be around, and the two of them formed a solid friendship. A few months into their friendship, Oreo eventually started inviting Sydney to a bi-weekly manga club, where they exchanged recommendations and discussed the stories together. Lee would also join them too, once she got better at not overworking herself.

In December 2023, Lee and Oreo entered a relationship of some kind. I don't know what they labeled it. They haven't bothered to tell me because "it's none of my business." (and i love that for them!) (i at least know they're having a good time and enjoying their company)

Big Big Run (June 2024)

When the Salmonids were on their way to invade the previous job sites, Oreo and Lee went to defend Inkblot Art Academy (Lee's alma matter). The two of them operated independently of Grizzco, and chose to use superpowered weapons that Oreo previously modified. Oreo opted for a rapid fire charger, while Lee used a rapid fire version of the undercover brella. Both of them made a conscious effort to let snatchers take back the Golden Eggs, not wanting to let it fall into Grizzco's hands.

Leaving Toni Kensa (July 2024)

After Big Big Run, Oreo realized that she missed working directly with weapon engineering. Her work in Toni Kensa wasn't as satisfying and holding her attention anymore, and she quickly realized that she would benefit from working elsewhere. Oreo brought up her plans to Lee, and while Lee expressed that they would miss Oreo, they ultimately supported her decision.

Oreo decided to work at the Inkopolis Square Ammo Knights, and her responsibilities involve repairing others weapons, explaining how weapons function, etc. She found herself to be much more connected and engaged with her work, and customers would leave feeling satisfied! During her time there, she befriended her co-worker Lily, and eventually started doing part-time weapon modifications for the New Squidbeak Splatoon (NSS).

Grand Run (September 2024)

Oreo found the emphasis of collecting as many Golden Eggs as possible to be disturbing and disrespectful to the Salmonid, and wanted to find a way to slow down the egg collection and return the eggs to their rightful owners. Working in collaboration with the NSS, Oreo modified some of the cannons to fire away from the egg basket. Unfortunately, people realized that the cannons were defective, and started avoiding them.

Grand Fest (September 2024)

Oreo was on Team Future, as she was excited to see what kinds of possibilities the future held for her own personal relationships, as well as technology. Her participation at the venue was rather minimal, and she ended up bringing an umbrella to not get covered by the rainbow paint. When walking past DJ Octavio's stall, Oreo pulled up the hood of her coat to avoid having an awkward conversation with her former boss.
