Phoenix (previously Raven until S3) is a fierce and competitive inkling who strives to be the best in everything he does. She is currently the team captain of Resurgence, a top level team, and acts as their midline player. Phoenix mains the Splatana Stamper and is known for her aggressive playstyle.

regarding phoenix's s1 gear, the squid satin jacket is slightly modified to not have an emblem, and the hunter hi-tops are more teal to match the jacket.

Personality

Phoenix's trademark trait is her stubborn determination to see things through to the end. He's a very hardworker and lives by the motivation to "prove people wrong." She places a high importance on constantly grinding and improving at his abilities, and follows routines very dilligently. Within the ranked community, Phoenix is known for asking players better than him to scrim against her- and will not stop until he gets the opportunity to play against them. She's prone to forming rivalries with others and will be very competitive with them, even if it's one-sided.

He respects most people who are stronger than him, but her opnion of them will quickly change to distaste if they are unnecessarily critical to him. And unfortunately, that's very easy given Phoenix's short fuse and tendency to jump to conclusions. She's pretty analytical and can make great decisions on the fly, but once the matter concerns his ego, well, there goes her braincells... (Phoenix will work on it eventually I promise...) She's a very emotionally charged person when it comes to perceived threats over his abilities.

Most people tend to see Phoenix as a very blunt person, getting straight to the point. She tends to phrase her feelings on personal matters very poorly and it often doesn't come out the way he intends it to. This exterior makes Phoenix difficult to approach, but for the people he does let in, she is very fiercly protective of them and will do anything for them.

History

Splatoon 1 (2015 - 2017)

Before entering the ranked scene, Phoenix would spend her time skateboarding around Blackbelly Skatepark with Max. For awhile, he was regarded as one of the best at the sport, but she eventually lost her title to someone else. Over time, people started to hang out with the new skater on the block, leaving Phoenix behind. This left Phoenix insecure and cynical- causing him to lash out when people think of her abilities as "lesser" than others.

When Turf Wars started becoming popular in June 2015, Max asked Phoenix to try a few games with him. However, Phoenix severely misinterpreted the invitation, causing the two of them to fall out.

At the end of 2015, Phoenix decided to abandon skateboarding for Turf War and Ranked Battles. During this time, she tried a variety of weapons. Phoenix eventually mained the Grim Range Blaster, inspired by her favorite player, Rovy. Phoenix's highest rank during the Splatoon 1 era of battles was S+.

Splatoon 2 (2017 - 2022)

Phoenix continued to pursue a career in ranked. During the S2 era, he used the Kensa Undercover Brella, Enperry Splat Dualies, and N-ZAP '85.

In 2019, Phoenix was invited to be a part of the team Eagle Eye, lead by Crow (presently known as Dove). Eagle Eye consised of five members: Dove, Phoenix, Jay, Falcon, and Ash.

Eagle Eye went on to be a widely known team that was recognized for quickly ascending from low level to high level. In most tournaments they played, Eagle Eye placed within the Top 4 teams.

By the start of 2021, Eagle Eye consistently placed second in every tournament they played. Phoenix was not satisfied with these results, and asked Dove for permission to flex to some different weapons in hopes of trying to breathe some fresh air into the team. However, Dove refused. From June owards, the scrims and tournaments Eagle Eye participated in were very tense; it was very clear that Phoenix and Dove's goals have diverged.

After their final tournament run in January 2022, Eagle Eye disbanded. Phoenix decides to depart to Splatsville in the pursuit of strength, and he was accompanied by Falcon, who also sought out to try a new style of battle. The duo went on under the name "Resurgence," and their goals were to hone an aggressive style that placed a lot of pressure on their opponents. For Phoenix specifically- he wanted to prove Dove wrong and show them that his philosophy was better than theirs.

Phoenix was given the opportunity to try out prototypes of the Splatana Stamper from weapon manufacturers, provided that she actively promoted the weapon during battles. He quickly fell in love with the weapon and was determined to master its strength and versatility.

Splatoon 3 (2022 - Present)

Somewhere along the line, Phoenix and Falcon recruited two more members for Resurgence after encountering them in Anarchy Open several times.

In January 2023, Resurgence participated in their first tournament as a team. In the finale, they faced against Soaring Tempest- Dove's new team. Resurgence emerged as the victor of the battle.

Since then, Resurgence and Soaring Tempest continued to face against each other in various tournaments.

Trivia

• Lee is Phoenix's cousin.
• Phoenix can be associated with fire as an element. Her favorite type of Pokemon are fire and dark!
• Phoenix has a tendency to slouch; he has bad posture. When sitting down, she can also be found resting her feet on nearby tables much to the dismay of the janitors.
  
• People tend to prefer to talk to Phoenix in person rather than text because her texts are incredibly short-winded and vague (e.g. Scrim @ 12pm, or OK). They also don't like to call Phoenix either because he ONLY uses speakerphone and sounds very choppy over the phone as a result.
• There are way too many tumblr posts that remind me of this guy. I hate him. She occupies so much of my brainspace. I need a tag for Phoenix.
