About

Rose is a Mu Floss who’s currently employed as a pharmacist at a greenhouse that specializes in producing herbal and healing tea leaves. She is located in the Delta Clan for her job, and she’s responsible for making all of the tea-based products and medicines at her workplace.

One of her tasks is grinding some tea leaves into powder before converting them into pills. She’ll also do research and store records of her medical findings in numerous journals.

Personality

Rose is somewhat of a bitch - or at least she is with her friends and family. When in front of strangers and acquaintances, she’s as angelic as ever. Her real personality is vulgar and foul-mouthed though. The more comfortable she feels around you, the more rude she becomes. Which is somewhat ironic, but in actuality, this is simply her being honest and real with those she’s close with.

Even if she doesn’t like showing it off, she’s insanely intelligent for her age. She may only be twenty-three, but she already has a PhD in psychology and pharmacy (she double majored by the time she got to college at age 13).

Despite her intelligence, she’s rarely confident in her research and findings. She’s got some sort of paranoia or anxiety when it comes to stuff like that, although she doesn’t like showing that either in front of people. She tries to remain composed and neutral while working or studying, but she’s probably screaming and arguing with herself inside her mind.

Lastly, though she is very smart, she’s not so great at figuring out someone’s emotions. She’s way more into hard science and cold facts, not warm and messy feels. She doesn’t understand feelings as much, but she’s slowly starting to understand to an extent.

Abilities

As a Mu, Rose possesses the ability to heal herself and others. Even though she doesn’t regularly practice her healing powers during work, she is still a really strong healer and is the ‘doctor friend’. She can only heal physical injuries, however, such as broken bones or even impaled lungs. Not even a powerful Mu Floss like her, can heal something like a broken heart or depression with just healing powers alone.

However, though she can’t physically get rid of mental illnesses, for no one really can, she can at least help in the reduction of something like depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia with some of the herbal medicine that she makes. She’s basically like a psychiatrist on top of being a healer and pharmacist.

Backstory

Rose was basically the child prodigy that almost every parent would want.

Let’s flash back and rewind to how that came to be. Before Rose Belladonna was even out of the womb, her parents - both of whom were professors at a university that specialize in their nursing and pharmacy programs - were already saving up for her college tuition. They were both highly intelligent Mus, and they wanted their daughter to be just as smart as they were. They didn’t wanna raise no stupid child.

By the time she was four and just entering daycare, they were already having her learn her shit. She learned her multiplication tables, already learned the arts of studying, and she knew how to write in complete sentences, unlike most of her peers.

Being raised so smart was a double-edged sword. On one hand, her quick learning style made school much easier for Rose, and it made her teachers love her. She was a notorious teacher’s pet, and she’d always gotten answers right. (Well, almost. She still made mistakes every now and then, but even when that did happen, she was still ahead.)

On the other hand though, it was incredibly difficult to make friends her age. All of the kids in her class would either find her too boring because all she knew was stuff that they didn’t know, and some of them would even make fun of her out of jealousy. No one liked her overall, yet everyone would suddenly love her whenever group projects had to be done. Everyone would always wanna be paired up with her during a group project, even though they wanted nothing to do with her previously.

This two-faced attitude absolutely infuriated Rose, and this would be the breaking point for her. She started to be WAY less nice to people because of that. She would purposely work alone, and if she had no choice but to pair up with someone, she’d purposely partner up with someone that she hated before screwing them over in some despicable way. That way, she would get the better grade while they got karma coming for them. This was what her classmates deserved for treating her so poorly.

She didn’t even get that much relief or refuge away from that sort of two-faced attitude at home. Her older brother Iggy, who her parents had adopted from the Nu Clan a few years after her birth, was not nice to her. Rose didn’t know what the hell his deal was, but he would always treat her rudely whenever their parents weren’t around. He was fake as shit and she despised that, so she only saw him as an antagonistic figure for the longest time.

The way that Rose would cope with anything bad that happened to her was through rationalization. She would rationalize (basically find a logical explanation behind someone’s actions) why someone is acting a certain way and conclude that that must be the answer. For example, Iggy would always act mean to her whenever their parents weren’t around, so Rose hypothesized that the reason for why he was such an asshole was because he must be jealous of her.

So, even though they lived together, Rose tried to avoid him like the plague. She was already doing that anyway, she was even more determined to do so now. She started keeping to herself, becoming more reserved, and isolating herself from others for the sake of her studies.

By the time she was 13, her parents were extremely proud of her. Why? Because she was already enrolled in her third year of college as an undergraduate by that age.

She was really far into her education at that point. She was so far ahead that the classmates that surrounded her were suddenly twice her age or even older by then. They were a lot friendlier too, much to her relief. College was so much better for Rose overall.

By the time she graduated with her PhD in psychology and pharmacy from medical school (freaking medical school out of all things), Rose had already earned a new job at a greenhouse in the Delta region. She was ready to pack her bags and leave the nest.

Her parents threw her a party before she could leave. During this celebration party, while munching on some fruits, she vividly remembered something she had never realized until later due to all of the distance that she would deliberately put between her and Iggy.

She saw her parents shaming Iggy. They were talking loudly about why he couldn’t be more like her, why she was always better than him, how they didn’t adopt him just for him to fail some of his classes at the time, and Iggy looked like he was going to be on the verge of tears.

For the first time in forever, Rose actually felt sort of bad for Iggy. She was away from home so often that she never knew that this was how their parents treated him whenever she was gone.

No wonder he was so mean to her, although that still didn’t justify his two-faced attitude toward her. She would never forgive him for that part, but she could at least understand why he acted the way he did now.

Just when Iggy looked like he was going to break, Rose stepped in. Calmly, she told her parents to back off, something she’d never done. She usually loved her parents, but this time they were going too far.

They were stunned and angry at first for her interruption, but after realizing how useless this whole thing was (them yelling at Iggy wasn’t going to help Iggy do better in school), they backed off and apologized.

Iggy later thanked Rose on that day, much to her surprise. He also apologized for the way that he had treated her when they were kids, but she told him that he couldn’t fix the past and to just move on already. While she did appreciate him owning up to his errors, she didn’t feel comfortable being on friendlier terms with him all of a sudden.

After that, she never really saw Iggy much again.

...Or at least, that’s what she would expect.

However, Iggy wasn’t actually going to give up. He was really determined to make things up to her for some reason, and he was persistent too. When she had asked him one day, after he had visited her in the Delta Clan one weekend, why he was so stubborn to get her to acknowledge him, he just said that he felt really bad and couldn’t stop thinking about how things could’ve been much different if they had actually gotten along. He regret letting his emotions override most of his decisions back then and wanted to at least try and make amends with her.

Rose is still never going to forgive Iggy, but she can at least give him another chance. Or, as she would say out loud so as to not appear like a softie, she’ll ‘only give him a chance because it amuses her to see him try so hard’.

Eventually, she made an effort to travel and talk to Iggy too whenever her schedule would allow it, she’s had a lot more free time since graduating from medical school. She’s met his two girlfriends, Zorra and Janet, throughout this time. She even met his Gamma best friend Tobias from his accounting firm. She finds Tobias to be like another annoying older brother to her, but she’s glad that things are at least looking up for him (since Iggy’s never had this many relations before, as far as she knew) and their sibling relationship.

So, overall, things are slowly brightening over time.

Other

She’s somewhat strict about punctuality. If you’re late by more than fifteen minutes, then that means you’ve officially wasted her time, and Rose is NOT cool with that. That may seem like a bitchy move, but Rose never had a lot of time to relax when she was a kid, so wasted time is a HUGE turnoff for her. She’ll think a lot about how she could’ve used that fifteen minutes or more to do something else, like reading or studying or just something worth her time.

It’s a blessing for Rose to have so much more free time now. Sometimes, whenever she’s not seeing Iggy and his friend or girlfriend(s) over the weekend, she doesn’t know what to do on her days off. The concept of free time is almost foreign to her.

The fact that she's never and will never be interested in anyone romantically has helped her a lot during her more studious days. She finds romance, while it seems okay at times, to be a big distraction if you've got lots of ambitious goals ahead of you.
