Sunny use to work at his mothers clothing shop, fixing any clothes that came in. While he enjoyed it he wished to do something more, something that would help him be less shy and anxious. When John and Obsidian came to his town to move in, Bun was immediately drawn to them. It took some time and courage for Bun to finally talk to them, but he's glad he did. Him and John quickly became friends, but Obsidian took a bit longer to understand the Bun wasn't going to hurt him or John.

John hired Bun as his assistant, as Obsidian never liked messing around with chemicals. John will sometimes push Bun to be a little more outgoing, and Obsidian sometime teaches Bun some fighting styles when he's training.
