Ghosts can come in many forms: as memories, spirits, or those who never truly died.
Skyla lives a life of constant gain and shattering loss. Now, she holds onto things as fiercely as she can for as long as she can, she will fight to protect what little she has left in life. She keeps her possessions and information closely guarded, lest someone try to take them from her or use them against her. . Never could she be called soft or sweet, Skyla’s love is as rough as she is. She stands up for what she believes to be right, no matter her opponent. She naturally despises authorities and the powers they abuse, actively fighting against them when she can. With so many individuals with ulterior motives approaching her, Skyla is naturally suspicious of strangers and their intentions. It takes a while for her to trust others. Many try to pull one over on her but find its not an easy task, for Skyla is very sharp and more intelligent than anyone gives her credit for.

Present
Skyla lives between the lines, and out of sight of society. As far as anyone who knew her growing up knows, she's dead, gone, a missing persons case left unsolved. For all intents and purposes, she's a ghost. It makes it easier for her to float between cities and towns without anyone remembering anything about her.
Skyla serves Bastet - or rather, she's supposed to serve Bastet. She spends her time finding ways to subtle disobey the Lopdiemis and pester her. She is sent out to complete assassination missions but these are rare and few between, often leaving her with more free time on her hands than she knows what to do with. Occasionally she will be called in for intimidation or just to beat a Kami around a little, but typically those jobs are left up to Tevlen who is more physically intimidating than her. With so much free time, Skyla is often skulking around in the Gloomy Forest or near by cities, anything at all to stay out of the mansion. One of her favourite haunts was the large library in a nearby city.
History
Skyla was tossed onto the streets to fend for herself when she was only a young child. She spent longer than she cares to remember fending off hunger, attackers and even would-be kidnappers. Then on one fateful night, after being rescued from another attempted kidnapping, she met a strange Kamishiba who dropped her off on the doorstep of the De Serio Family. It was a bumpy road, one full of arguments, tears, and runaways, but eventually Skyla assimilated into the family. And she couldn’t have been happier, finally she had a family who actually wanted her and one she loved with all her heart - sure Harper and Salvador both got on her nerves more than just a little but that’s just how families are, it didn’t mean they didn’t love each other.
But fate decreed otherwise. A figure from Mercutio’s past returned; a Lopdiemis who was puppeting the body of what was once his mother. A nasty deal maker had appeared for one simple reason - to kill Mercutio. Skyla would not stand by idly and watch Mercutio be killed. She pledged her own life in his stead. A deal that Bastet accepted. She lived on a timer, shakely living her life, watching over her shoulder for those glowing red eyes.
The timer eventually hit zero when Tevlen, Bastet’s servant, appeared. She was certain she was going to die but that was not the case. Bastet had decided a far worse fate for her: she was to serve her for the rest of her life, acting as her own personal Assassin.

Stealth
A skill that does not come naturally to her, stealth was beaten into her through her training with Tevlen. As an assassin, the skill is mandatory. She needs to remain unseen by her target until it is too late.
Lock picking
A skill from her childhood, Skyla learnt to pick locks out of necessity but was never any good at it until Kanaya began to teach her all the secrets the Red Kamishiba had picked up. She remains only average with this skill, despite the teaching.
Marksmanship
Taught to her by Kanaya, Skyla has a decent aim with a bow and throwing knives. While not as good as Kan, she is still far better than the average Kamishiba and an opponent to be feared
Gardening
Growing up on a farm it was only natural that Skyla helped around with the daily chores. Not great with animals, Skyla spent most of her time caring for the crops. She found that she rather enjoyed gardening, it was a non destructive skill that helped her calm down and Distract her from her troubles.

With her secret love of poetry, Skyla keeps her large stack of poetry books hidden from prying eyes. She has multiple books from different poets, nearly all stolen or paid for with stolen money. They are all well read.
Wooden Toybi [Momento]
While not the same wooden toybi she had as a child, Skyla quickly swiped this child's toy when she saw it. It reminds her of the wooden Toybi toy that Mercutio gifted to her not long after she joined the family and it reminds her of why she keeps going.

- Once very slim as a child, Skyla has bulked up and is now very strong
- Due to her difficult start in life, Skyla's growth was stunted and she is shorter than most Kamishiba
- The scar over her eye was given to her by Bastet. The toxins in the Lopdiemis' pads also caused her eye to change colour
- Her mane and fur naturally stick up, no amount of smoothing gets it to lie flat
- She has multiple scars and her ear wings are tattered

A cheery, optimistic Ray of sunshine, Theta is as disarming as she is unwittingly charming. It didn't take long for Skyla to trust and fall in love with the golden teacher. She does not spend as much time with her as she wishes she could.

It was a shock of a lifetime when they found Quilo's egg. While the child looks like a perfect mix of the two of her parents, stubbornness is the only trait she shares with them. Skyla loves her child, even if she was so unexpected.

The Kamishiba who raised her, Skyla loves and respects Mercutio for giving her a better childhood than he clearly had. He wore his heart on his sleeve and she wanted nothing more than to protect him. She stays with Bastet only because she threatens his life.

Skyla has never been close to Salvador, he often embodied the same traits she saw in the guards who ignored or harassed her on the streets. She begrudgingly respects him for his skills as a warrior.

A pain in her ass, Skyla does love her older brother. He's grown a lot from the broody child prone to outbursts. Still broody but she respects the changes he makes and the reasons behind his dream to join the guard - even if she doesn't agree with the dream itself.

Skyla was thrilled when the twins hatched and was a large part of their lives while she was still in the family. She enjoyed spending her time with Pepper, quietly reading or discussing what they had read recently or who was causing the twins problems in school - individuals who both knew Skyla would track down later to threaten.

Skyla was thrilled when the twins hatched and was a large part of their lives while she was still in the family. Being the more energetic twin, Skyla spent most of her time with her younger sister rough housing, play fighting and wrestling. Often the two children would be found chasing each other across the fields and through the family house. Being deaf, Echo was an easy target for school yard bullies, bullies who would later come in with black eyes after Skyla got her paws on them.

Tall and mysterious, Skyla has always been interested in learning more about her aunt but never getting more than scraps of information. Aro was the one who sparked her love of poetry and star gazing with her wide array of stories she had hidden within her mind.
