Originally came to Hope University to research the connection between kith and the Tatters, with the hypothesis that studying the Tatters will ultimately bring ruin upon the world. Decided to stay after amassing an army to fight in 'the impending squirrel war', although it has been several years and there is no sign of such war.

Claims to have been democratically elected as King of Moths, although no one has witnessed any democracy in his kingdom. 

Only showed interest in NPCs with the discovery of the Enchanted Forest, where he fell in love with both dryads. Though his relationship with Alban has moved onto a more mentor/mentee path, Moth still holds a raging crush on Lenta, and is often wordless in their presence, though does speak to the tree comprehensively enough by now to regularly discuss magic with them.
Later on Moth would form a close relationship with Othidar, who adopted him eventually. Moth is very fond of his Othidad. Because of this relationship he also considers fellow royal Celariel his pseudo sister.

One time the lab was set on fire and on that day Moth decided he wanted to burn the lab down. Despite many attempts, the Lycus fanclub is too powerful. He cannot defeat them.

Moth lost both his eyes during the discovery of the Coral Reef after getting attacked by flying rocks. Is still perpetually wounded from that experience and regularly bleeds 'moth sap.' At the same time received a tremendous crush on the body-less 'Echoes' that arose from the sea, attempting to court said Echoes. Later the sound was revealed to be the siren Tethys. Though Moth still regularly romances Tethys, he has admitted that he finds her a lot less attractive after finding out she was corporeal.

During the discovery of the Shadow Stage, Moth took a large interest in the mysterious Narrator that ruled over the remnant. After numerous attempts to contact him, Moth was shown how to write letters the traditional thespian way. He sent a declaration of admiration and war to the Narrator, and shortly after fell in love. Sought out a dance with the Narrator which he still holds a torch for to this day. Has admitted to being 'probably the Narrator's #1 Fan' and has attempted multiple times to both court him and summon him out of the void.
As well as finding an obsession, Moth also found a family in the Shadow Stage in the form of the Dollmaker, who he adopted as his son with Morty. Though Moth is doting of his son and subsequent kith grandson, he often does not listen to Doll's advice, which ranges from 'stop bleeding!' to 'the Narrator is dangerous and I don't want to see you hurt'.

The discovery of the Cosmic Solarium was mostly uninvolved for Moth, as he had to quarantine himself and his moths from the station until he was sure they wouldn't cause any foreign contamination. Took an interest on the angry intercom voice, but swiftly gave up on him after finding out that not only is he corporeal, but also has no sense of humor. Attempted multiple times to try and get Elliot to stab him. It has not worked.
Found kin in Beebot, but was turned down when he offered the bot a place in his court.

Took a very active role in the Illuminary Gala as he attempted to prove all the conspiracies wrong and assassinate someone himself. Was foiled on a number of occasions due to various accidents and being far too distracted by the charming courtier Dynrial. Has shown an active interest in courting said elf, but that took a back seat when the Narrator returned.

Moth took up an antagonistic role during the Reign of the Dragon, actively feeding secrets to the Narrator and attempting to trick Mara into avoiding the resistance. After the Narrator started to lose, Moth too lost his control and broke down, becoming a dangerous, narrative controlled puppet. When the Narrator eventually fell, Moth was heartbroken, once again being denied his dance, and his obsession.

Moth showed no interest on the arrival of the Voice in the Mist beyond a cursory interest in another disembodied voice...Which again, was very much lost when he found out the voice had a corporeal hand at the very least. He spent most of the period mourning.

The arrival of Specter entranced Moth with another seemingly disembodied voice (The Sea Witch) and her devoted companion, which to him was a clear mirror of his devotion to the Narrator. Specter's plan to make everyone in the Reef happy with false ghosts of themselves was all too tempting to Moth, who attempted to completely give himself over to Specter in a futile wish to lose the pain that loving the Narrator had given him. When Specter was eventually stopped, he fell into despair, coming to the conclusion that escaping his infatuation was impossible.
