Pollux Luckbloom's Links
Though not her birth father, Pollux sees him in a positive light and talks about him often. Pollux is grateful that he allowed her to travel, and hopes to tell as many tales as he's told her when she returns.
Sorrel would do anything to protect Pollux -- to the point that it took a long time to agree to let her travel without him around to keep an eye on her. Gave Pollux the staff that they wield today, which is imbued with light magic to protect her.
At first, Carvus is mysterious to Pollux. An overconfident fighter who can take on combat despite being hurt, yet unfamiliar with concepts such as cooking? They decide to understand them more, vowing to find the time to speak with them.
And when they do...they realize that Carvus has been through a lot and, ultimately, lonely and misunderstood. The both of them are able to confide in their troubles, and eventually, when Carvus goes missing, Pollux puts her own life at stake to make sure he's ok. To make sure he's aware that, even with his shortcomings, her, and the rest of the island, will make sure he's not off on his own anymore.
Carvus doesn't have much of an opinion on Pollux, having fought with them once before. They appreciate the power that Pollux has shown with their light magic, and shows some curiosity in it, but otherwise sees them as another odd person.
As of recently, Carvus has attempted to take on the use of Light magic thanks to Pollux, much to his own frustration. However, the two gained more trust and they gave each other a vow of protection. Carvus trusts Pollux more than most on the island, feeling somewhat of a kinship from them as the two struggle with somewhat similar troubles.
Pollux sees Pandora as hardworking, and perhaps a bit misunderstood, by both some of the members here, and the family Pandora has at home. They see a lot of potential in Pandora, encouraging the healer that going to the island was the right choice -- and that if her family thinks otherwise, they'll come around to it eventually.
Of everyone in the crew, Pollux has the easiest time finding Pandora due to the blood and grime that comes with being a medic. (Though, Carvus makes for a pretty solid contender, tying for that position some days more than others.)
Pandora isn't easily shaken, but to be quite honest Pollux somehow manages it. Not that she dislikes them, quite the opposite, but the light mage's tendency to see through any small talk and cut straight to the heart of issues isn't something Pandora is quite used to yet. Of course, Pollux is still quite supportive of her and as such she'll do her best to live up to their expectations!... though she doesn't quite care for Pollux's constantly poking for information about her brother.
Initially, Pollux has heard of him through word of mouth, but had paid little mind to the 'mysterious Phantom." However, after learning that the Phantom is a) her brother and b) her brother is alive (?!), Pollux is quickly grows concerned for her brother's reckless actions -- not to say that she's any better, though...
After reuniting proper, Pollux uses whenever chances possible to pull Castor into her schemes, with a not-so-secret goal of revisiting the childhoods that neither were able to share with one another.
Due to being siblings, Pollux has been the only person he could immediately put his trust in. And while he's jealous that Pollux got to grow up without the constant threats and dangers that Ysingmyr lobbed at him, he's grateful that she's hasn't had to feel the weight that their family name bears until truly necessary.
All and all, he's happy for her to be alive, and will do whatever he can to keep it that way.
As Pollux's first major exposure to Sybil was Emory's retelling of the infamous 'pizza prank', they've cottoned on fast to Sybil's low self-confidence. While it won't stop them from pulling a harmless prank or two on the priest, they've also given Sybil means to speak about his troubles, offering blunt, but well-intentioned feedback in order to bolster his conviction.
"I trust in you to get the job done. Sorrel's worried sick, though." Sybil's seen Pollux's prowess on the battlefield firsthand, and knows he doesn't need to worry about them. He might have lowered his guard too much though: a prime target for pranks...
Having met Grayson at the outset of the Island Initiative's creation, Pollux has grown to know him for some time. And while at first her impressions on the Island were viewed purely from an informational standpoint, she's come to enjoy the small band of allies that Grayson has brought together.
Being one of the few on the island with a brain cell, she's more than happy to give Grayson a honest opinion whenever the wolf's unsure about his next plan of action. That said, Pollux also tries to make sure that Grayson isn't working too hard, and actively encourages him to take a break every now and then.
Although he's always on alert around Pollux, having seen the antics she gets up to since he formed the Initiative, she also is one of the few people he just drops his guard around and stops pretending to be the leader of the rag-tag bunch of misfits they're a part of now. After hearing about her past over the time since they've been together, he's definitely taken some inspiration to take on a different task.
While unaware of Aurelia's low self-esteem about her claws, Pollux enjoys her company and occasionally offers to cook with her when the chance comes up.
Though Pollux at first could only hate Ankaa -- after all, she was the one who's power started this -- upon learning that Ankaa was being used, Pollux wished nothing more than to save her. After removing the powers that put Ankaa into this position in the first place, Pollux makes an effort to speak with her, knowing full well that it'll take time for her to open up and express herself again.
Though at first seeing her as a new target, Ankaa immediately feels that she owes Pollux for bringing her powers to rest. Of the two siblings, Ankaa has an easier time talking to Pollux -- likely due to their shared understanding that it can be difficult to express one's feelings.
