Chanse's Links
Chanse is Hope's best friend since they started school together at Kindergarten, although their personalities differ between them. Chanse helps his friend with his enthusiasm instead of dealing with a boring ol' day.
Hope's childhood friend and still continues to be the friend Hope needs in his life. Although they're not as inseparable as his brother and himself, Chanse is as close to him as he can like a family member that he was missing in his world.
Although his best friend Hope is in love with Emery, Chanse has affection towards the same person. However, Chanse respects Emery as a friend but he acts differently with Elois and grows much more fond with her.
Emery treats Chanse as if he was an older brother and a best friend. They both share as much enthusiasm and enjoy and sense of fun and positivity in the world.
Elois, on the other hand, respects Chanse greatly and enjoys his company. They share the same feelings and prefer to let their life go with the flow as time goes.
He'd only crave for the love and happiness he always wanted in his life since that accident that risked his whole future. Then another unfortunate event where he thought this quiet love life of his would last forever, instead she left him and disappeared that only left him with such meaningful last memories. He heard rumors of a small place where he overheard his coworkers, where they all had achieved their love life - Chanse figured he could try it out.
He left the store and then came back with no avail - a month later with the cologne all used up and there was no affect. Of course, Valentine had took notice of it - and he works hard to be able to grant Chanse's small wish.
Chanse wasn't really sure what he's doing - but the notable benefit is that he always smells good and gets it for free.
The entire reason Valentine opened up shop at the mall was to help people fall in love. That's not just a job, it's his purpose in life. So when a sad, empty man walks into his store, Valentine knows exactly what to do. However, he didn't expect his cologne to have no effect on Chanse. Was it that the curse of loneliness was too strong around him? That was just unacceptable. So Valentine set his focus on enhancing his cologne, changing ingredients and making it better, and he always beckons Chanse over when the newest batch is done so he can try it out. Valentine absolutely won't rest until he's help that man find someone.
Despite his best friend doesn't appreciate Terry's company, Chanse thinks the complete opposite. He treats Terry as a friend by taking him out to places during his free time, like buying him coffee at the nearest cafe and buy him desserts and other foods.
He doesn't tell him, but he often takes Terry to a few restaurants here and there every time Hope isn't available (since he's spending time with Emery).
Chanse usually buys lunch so Terry thinks he's a swell guy. Likes to go to lunch with him just so he can order a lot of desserts.
Lucen often seeks Chanse for help, since he's new to San Diego. And since Lucen lives more independently than any other of his friends, Chanse somehow WANTS to care for Lucen.
Worried about his well being, Chanse often invites him out to spend time with him everytime Lucen is free. He also shares his own experience in modeling - a path that Lucen pursues.
When his two childhood friends made a welcoming party, he was introduced to Chanse. Because of Chanse's past experience, he is the person that Lucen is interested the most.
When Emery and Regret aren't around to spend time with him when he's free, he's automatically heading to hang around with Chanse, who always seems available (even when he's teaching).
If it weren't for his father's crusty and angry attitude, Chanse wouldn't be the bright and smiling man that everyone enjoys being with!
Next to Hope, his own father is the man he trusts fully.
His father always consoles him when he needs help, especially when no one seems to be there for him.
To Michael, Chanse is probably the best thing that happened to him. He's practically the light of his life - loving him unconditionally as his father. He's always boasting about his son's achievements, and stays with him constantly. He's only one of the very VERY few people to find out why he's so lonely and melancholy.
Michael is particularly more scared than worried about Chanse. Since his son had attempted suicide for the very first time, he's decided that he'd move to America just to be closer to him.
