Yserlith
Seemingly cold, serious and distant, Yserlith has grown distrustful of living beings and in general became rather antisocial after falling in love with a mortal, only to be abandoned by her.
She found comfort comfort from a few of her fellow succubi, namely Risyss and Melina, latter of whom she nowadays considers to be more or less her daughter, as well as elf named Belladonna Norwood, who helped her deal with her emotional turmoil and trust issues.
Personality
Yserlith is often seen as stern and serious, but those closest to her know that she can be soft and caring to those who she truly cares about. After she was left heartbroken, Yserlith grew resentful, but thanks to the help of Belladonna Norwood she was able to overcome it all.
The healing process, however, is slow and she's still working on herself, but she's now able to talk about them and trust those closest to her to share her burden. If there is one thing Belladonna taught her, it was that she didn't have to nor should she push others aside or be alone. Heeding her advice, Yserlith has started to open up once again and has found new purpose in life through mentoring her trainee Melina.
Backstory
Yserlith was created in the same patch of succubi and incubi as both Risyss and Vaskitsa were. While she too was able to prove herself to be just as skillful as the rest of them, it was Yserlith eventual romance with a human that kept her from reaching her full potential in the eyes of the Goddess.
Eventually, Yserlith was abandoned and left on her own. Resentful about this, Yserlith withdrew herself from what few circles of friends she had. Still enjoying being in the land of the living though, she happened to meet an elf by the name of Belladonna Norwood. It was through her that Yserlith learned to be compassionate and to move on and heal, no matter how slow it would be.
Bella had also advised her to try and find something else to distract her from her negative thoughts. As she was mentor of a young succubus, Yserlith decided to put more effort into helping and guiding her in turn, much like Bella had done with her. It was mostly through the two of them that Yserlith finally started to regain her composure and find a new meaning in her life.
Relationships
Risyss was the first friend that Yserlith made, as two of them were created at the same time. Not initially seeing eye to eye, they were often paired together and over time realized that they actually enjoyed each other's company. Not only that, they have often worked very well together and have continued doing so ever since.
Yserlith was the one who taught Risyss more about the act of killing and how to master it, where as Risyss helped Yserlith in turn with seduction and shapeshifting.
Melina is a rookie who was after her creation assigned to Yserlith for training. Despite her best efforts, however, Melina has yet to ascend and is behind by around 50 years to the average. Yserlith is still continuing and doing her best to help and support her trainee.
Initially, Yserlith was reluctant to get deeply involved with Melina, as it was rare for succubi to get attached to one another, but over time Yserlith found herself caring about Melina more and more, so much so that she sees her now as her daughter of sorts, which is very rare for succubi, just like any sorts of affectionate bonds are.
Belladonna Norwood was Yserlith's friend and someone who helped her get back on her feet after she was left alone. Upon wandering in the land of the living on her own, she happened to bump into her by a chance. Given that she was a witch and was knowledgeable about demons, she wasn't afraid of her and was more than happy to sit down and listen to her.
Yserlith found herself coming back time and time again and slowly she started to regain herself. It was through Bella's friendship and willingness to help and listen to her that Yserlith found a new purpose in life, as she channeled her negative thoughts into energy, one that she's now using to help and guide her trainee Melina.
Unbeknownst to Bella, Yserlith had developed stronger feelings than friendship towards her, but decided not to pursue them after learning that Bella was already taken.
Aria Cromwell was Bella's fiancée, one that Yserlith mostly knew by name when Bella was still alive. After learning that she was taken and very happy in her relationship, Yserlith decided to not tell Bella how she felt about her.
It was only as of late when Yserlith finally got to appropriately meet her. As one would expect, things between them were quite awkward at first, but soon enough they found more things in common than uncommon between the two of them.
Yserlith met Gabe when she was summoned by Risyss in order to help her and Gabe out. Gabe tends to remind Yserlith of her previous romance, but she tries her best to not bring it up, as she sees how happy Risyss is with her. Seeing her also reminds Yserlith of Bella, as the two of them have somewhat similar features.
The Goddess of Death is creator of all demons, Yserlith included. The Goddess of Death has always seen the potential in Yserlith, but is also aware of her weakness' that hold her back. Unlike with Vaskitsa for example, they haven't hold her back too much, but it has kept her from reaching the rank of a Lady.
Trivia
- Her favorite colors are gray and coral red.
- Her favorite flower is venus flytrap.
- Yserlith is exceptionally talented at killing. If it were for that skill alone, she would have reached the rank of a lady or higher by now.
- Yserlith used to hate it when Melina played with her swirly hair, but now finds it affectionate and rarely stops her.
