Personality

Serafi is calculating, clever, polite, selfish, perfectionist, greedy, revengeful and even somewhat cruel. She is also an excellent liar and covers her true self often by acting like an air-headed, flirty little princess. Extremely thristy for power.

Appearance

Serafi is a slim and delicately built young wolf. Her airy fur is a mixture of white, gray and pale blue shades and she has yellow-green eyes. She has (/had) a crescent moon pendant tied to her right foreleg and she often carries a single throwing knife around. She is 65 cm high and weights 30 kg.

Life

Serafi was born into the leading clan of Edera, Susiklaani. Ever since being a puppy she knew how to act polite in front of her influential relatives and was therefore generally liked by most and absolutely worshipped by her father Zephyr. She grew up to become a princess who knew her value and a lot of willingness to raise it even higher.

Though before tackling the subject of becoming the whole world's number one in everything Serafi wanted to be young in some rather extreme ways. She grew close with her cousin Ikaros and together they wandered around their home island Andriaana and tried pretty much anything they could find: short and passionate relationships, getting high on mushrooms, inducing all the forms of violence and taking every bet, challenge and dare anyone gave them. Serafi made sure to not let the worst rumors about their adventures get carried into the ears of their family, but no matter how hard she tried not everything could be kept as a secret. That's why she soon began to hear an alarming amount of praise targeted towards her other cousin Iren instead of herself, despite how Serafi and Iren had always been somewhat similar and gotten compared to each other a lot. That made Serafi very jealous.

Putting her adventures mostly behind Serafi started to make herself known as a responsible young adult among her family by taking guard duties and showing more interest in politics. Ikaros was bored to death by such things and got pretty fed up with Serafi at this point, but the female wasn't even done yet. A dutiful youngster named Law had had a crush on her for a long time and Serafi had never given even two thoughts for him, but now she saw him as a chance. She made Law a promise: if he would bring her honor in every way possible she would eventually take him as her mate. Law was thrilled and naturally took the deal. Serafi never felt anything towards him and gave him more empty promises than anything, but Law instead showered his crush with attention and presents, including an orphaned puppy who Serafi decided to raise as her personal servant. She even gave him the name Varjo (Shadow) as a reminder of what he was supposed to become.

But no matter how well calculated Serafi's plans were they soon came crashing down. A severe epidemy broke out in Edera, killed a large portion of the pack and finally even got Serafi's mother Azallac, who was currently the leader of Edera. Neighboring packs and especially Lahko, a shady religion-like organization, saw this as a chance and attacked trying to conquer the lands of the weakened wolf pack. Serafi, Law and Varjo retreated to the heart of the pack which was an old mansion. Unfortunately the mansion caught fire and just as the trio was trying to escape they were faced by Ikaros. As Serafi had become "stupidly boring" while trying to prove her worth to her family Ikaros, who had always been the driving force behind their crazy adventures, felt like his cousin wasn't doing him any good anymore and so he locked Serafi and her comrades into the mansion. There, surrounded only by creatures she always just wanted to take advantage of, Serafi was either burnt or suffocated to death.

Tidbits

• Serafi is the Finnish way of spelling for seraph.
• Serafi's pendant is a family heirloom that has been passed through several generations. It does have a bit shady origin though, as its first carrier wasn't in all that good terms with the rest of the family. After Serafi's death Ikaros took the pendat for himself.
• Even though Ikaros and Serafi occasionally acted like they were even a bit too close with each other considering they were cousins, it was never officially revealed what sort of stuff they did or didn't do behind the scenes. After all they both were extremely good liars, so it could've been just an act they put up - or not, who knows for sure!

About the character

• Created in 2009.
• Serafi's creation process was a nightmare. Originally I intended to make her the most ultimate pastel-colored sparkledog, but after I had already set on the design I was told the litter Serafi was part of was supposed to be at least somewhat realistic looking. It took countless of sketches and headaches to redesign her in a way that would still give off the same vibe as the original one did. I did ultimately succeed, but it was a process I wouldn't want to go through ever again.
• Serafi took part in my small game called Joulu Ederan kartanolla (the code is broken and the game doesn't work anymore) as well as in a bigger game called Andriaanan jouluseikkailu.
