Prince admired Gem for her artisan skills, recognising the quality of her craftsmanship with the experience of his upbringing. As well as this, he is a rare fan of her cooking, as he finds the contrast of her meals' appearance and taste to be more interesting than offputting.
Eventually his admiration develops into a crush, but her harsh personality convinces him that Gem couldn't possibly return his interest. As such, he is oblivious to her affections for quite some time. Once she discards subtlty and advances on him in no uncertain terms, Prince is so flustered by the unexpected reciprocation that he begins avoiding her, unable to work up the courage to process their situation.
After some blunt feedback from Mona however, Prince calms down and enters a slow-paced relationship with Gem. His usual charisma is disabled in her presence, as he continues to have trouble reading her feelings, and so is quite nervous and struggles to accept himself as her partner, to Gem's continued frustration.

Through his relationship with Monalisa, Ryuuda naturally grows quite close to Fio as well, as the warrior is constantly in his wife's companionship. Seeing past this role however, Ryuuda becomes extremely fond of her on a personal level. Notably, rather than fixating on her size and strength, Ryuuda sees her as a soft-hearted and delicate young woman and looks to protect and fuss over her.
Oblivious to the pressure of her sense of duty, he admires her as a kind and loyal friend to Mona, and thinks very highly of her in this regard as well. Eventually, he ends up taking a significant wound to defend Fio, who expected him to instead protect Mona, which gives him a permanent scar across his chest. Following this, he makes it clear to Fio just how much both he and Mona care for her.
Despite Fio's hesitations, the couple shower her with adoration and they form a loving polycule with her. Ryuuda tenderly dotes on his beloved Fio, oblivious to when this might annoy her, and strives to reassure her that she is an equal part of the relationship.

As their crews struck up an alliance, Ryuuda quickly grew fond of his fellow captain, and the two soon became intimate. He respects Mona a lot for her headstrong personality and skillful leadership, while also having fun with her open and casual demeanour, and of course is simply physically attracted to her despite the age gap.
Although he lacked the self-awareness to realise it himself, the pair also shared a lot of similar baggage and found comfort and security in each other in this regard. Oblivious to Mona's hesitation in developing their relationship, Ryuuda was very open about his own feelings, as is the norm for him, causing her some embarrassment.
Following a confrontation between Ryuuda and her brother Jatte, the two officially merge their crews into one, serving as co-captains, and wed. They eventually have a daughter, Storm, together. Ryuuda is a lovey-dovey husband and father, doting on and praising his favourite girls to an obnoxious degree.

Everything is the same between these two lol
Ryuuda encountered Weaver early into his career of piracy and at first struck up a friendly relationship with her, the pair bonding over their aspirations and love of a good meal. Aspiring to become as experienced and mighty a pirate as her, the two shared drinks and stories often.
Over time however, he found himself put off by her careless arrogance as she reveled in violence, drawing a line at her abuse of her own crew. Speaking his mind against her caused friction between the two and put a strain on their friendship that has never fully recovered, soon choosing to go their separate ways.
Crossing paths at sea, he keeps some fondness for his old friend, but continues to disagree with her cruelty. Regardless, he considers her a worthy rival and the two challenge each other excitedly. They're still able to enjoy a drink together when all's said and done, but they're just as likely to get into another fight afterwards.
Crossing paths with Ryuuda when he was just starting out as a novice pirate, Weaver found him to be good fun and enjoyed the company of her new playmate. Their rash and crude behaviour reflected one another, making the pair become fast friends and then some.
Eventually however, Ryuuda began to speak out of turn, bemoaning her for being too cruel to her crew and civilians. Not one to accept criticism, Weaver didn't take too kindly to this and the pair's relationship was permanently strained.
Now serving as rival pirate captains, she is keen to put the amateur in his place when he dares to challenge her. Despite their disagreements, they are able to still rekindle their bond and have fun together, but it often devolves back into a heated fight. That said, she still finds some enjoyment in that dynamic as well.
Guitar was one of the first pirates Ryuuda encountered after setting out to sea, and was enamoured with their musical crew's talents. Rather than attack their ship as planned, Ryuuda simply sailed alongside them enjoying their music, much to Guitar's smug satisfaction.
Ryuuda remembers the experience fondly and is always delighted to see Guitar again when their paths cross. He is completely oblivious to how much the other pirate loathes him, considering them an old friend who can just be a bit of a sourpuss. Thus, he acts all buddy-buddy, to their disgust.
Guitar first encountered Ryuuda at sea whilst playing with their crew. Seeming to have attracted him as a fan, Guitar at first was immensely proud of themselves to have so impressed a fellow captain. However, it soon became clear that Ryuuda's musical knowledge was rather lacking, making Guitar feel insulted by his lackluster praise.
As such, Guitar came to be disgusted by the man, considering him an uncultured ignoramous, whose praise is worth about as much as mud. The mere sight of Ryuuda irritates and infuriates them greatly. They're not shy about this and insults him to his face constantly, only further annoyed by his obliviousness.
Due to their arrogance however, they instantly latch onto any opportunity they have to feel superior to Ryuuda, and so have become one of the rivals he likes to challenge.

When first approached by Monalisa, Prince feigned confidence in flirting back and soon found he had severely underestimated her. Getting a lot more than he bargained for, he grew shamefully attached to his suitress and became a slave to her whims, a plaything craving her praise and attention,.
Devoting his loyalty to her, he soon grew vindictively jealous as she pursued other partners. While feigning acceptance and encouraging her promiscuity, he began taking advantage of his position to gradually pick off the men she slept with, running them through dumping their bodies into the sea.
Keeping his killing spree secret from her, he aimed to take out his frustrations on each man until he was the only one left for her to toy with, completely unable to accept that the root of the problem could be with her or their own relationship.
After Mona finally discovers his murders and reassuring him of her feelings, Prince is overcome with guilt and leaves, ashamed of his actions against a woman who genuinely cares for him. Travelling alone, he spirals out of control and becomes a drunk. After learning of Mona's capture and planned execution however, he pulls himself together and teams up with her crew to stage a rescue, reuniting and apologising in the aftermath.
(RoyalPains AU) Mona's trusty intuition about others paid off well when she immediately pegged Prince as a fun plaything for her to use any way she desired. Immediately, she slathered Prince with praise and affection, and when Prince reciprocated with unwavering devotion and support for her, as well as hidden jealousy, Mona became possessive of him. However, with Mona's apprehensions about vulnerability and emotional intimacy steering her away from pursuing her budding romantic desires with Prince, she continued seeking comfort in physical relationships with other men, completely oblivious to Prince's systematic murdering of every single man who bedded her.

Prince was instantly obsessed with Birdy upon their first meeting. Fascinated with her unique appearance, and abrasive and wild persona, he admired her as a shining example of the freedom he so craved all his life. He soon found her overtaking his thoughts often, inadvertedly writing his wonderings about her in the ships log every day, and quickly realised he was hopelessly smitten with her.
Crushing on her super hard because she's so cool and pretty, he works up all his confidence to put the royal rizz on Birdy, unaware that she reciprocates his affections. Despite this, he failed to make progress due to her assumption that his efforts were being made in mockery of her.
His persistence eventually warms her up to him and the two accept each others mutual feelings as genuine, becoming a downright adorable and loving couple. Prince wholeheartedly believes Birdy to be the most special and beautiful treasure the world has to offer!
Somehow, one of Birdy's eggs eventually contains a child, the pair unsure biologically how this is possible. Nevertheless, Prince happily takes up responsibility of raising the egg as his own alongside her. Having abandonded his own family name, he makes the decision with Birdy to take up a new one with her in order to ensure their child knows they are a happy, loving family.
Birdy's first impression of Prince was that he must be another guy who saw her merely as a freak of nature, thus meaning his flirtatious comments came with ill intent. Despite that, her attraction to him couldn't be denied, and Birdy's romantic side was immediately gripped by how much he reminded her of the dashing gentlemen she read about in books. With some insistence from Prince, Birdy slowly let go of her apprehensions and insecurities and she discovered she'd finally found the man of her dreams, someone she could let herself fall in love with and love comfortably. Besides being able to love him, she found herself able to love herself when seen through his eyes, knowing he saw all of her perceived "imperfections" as facets of her beauty, both in looks and personality. With that, Birdy perceives Prince as the absolute ideal lover, and is outspoken in her abounding affections for him to anyone within earshot.
Fonia looks down on Tattle as some sort of pet that the crew keep, belittling and dehumanising her constantly. Thinking of her as a dirty animal, she is keen not to let her near her or her things, lest they get filthy with germs from who knows where.
She even finds it strange that Tattle can speak so well and thinks of it as some elaborate party trick. She disregards anything the mouse-like girl has to say, dismissing it as one would a rambling child and not taking her seriously.
To her, Tattle's interest in fashion is akin to seeing someone dressing their dog up in funny costumes.
Despite her poor treatment of the Mink, Tattle has a starry-eyed admiration for Fonia, seeing her as a glamorous and fashionable inspiration. Very shy about this, she has to work up a lot of courage to put her compliments into words, especially since she is quickly and viciously disregarded by her idol each time.
Rather than seeing this for the racism it is, she idolises Fonia so much that she believes any fault must simply lie with herself. Tattle thinks herself not good enough to be friends with such a stylish lady, and does not see the unfairness in her treatment of her.
Tattle sighfully dreams of being able to try on some of Fonia's pretty clothes, but has never been brave enough to ask (not that she would allow her to anyway).
Ryuuda is somewhat inconsiderate of Tattle... not in a malicious way, but he naively thinks of her as more an accessory to Mythio than as her own person. He allows her to join his crew simply as a condition of Mythio doing the same, so he does not pay her the same mind he does everyone else.
He is foolishly unaware that he does this and would feel very bad if it was pointed out to him! He's just not the kind of guy to stop and appreciate how clean the floors are with her around!
Tattle is not especially fond of Ryuuda, resenting the pirate for enabling her brother's continued disobedience and refusal to return home. She is too meek to voice this to the captain however, instead playing along as part of his crew as she continues to try and convince Mythio to abandon him.
What doesn't help is that Ryuuda only seems to think of her as 'Mythio's sister', making the effort she does put into keeping his ship clean feel unappreciated. Even she has some pride, y'know!
Chip tries to be on friendly terms with Tattle, but finds himself frustrated by her fearful attitude towards him. Always acting as though he's about to attack her out of nowhere makes him mad enough to want to do it!
In his hybrid form, once his animal instincts are heightened, he does find his eye drifting towards her, and sure his stomach audibly rumbles when he does, but she's overreacting!
Tattle is instinctively terrified of Chip and is entirely unsure why at first. Upon learning about his Devil Fruit abilities however, it became abundantly clear that this is a deeply-buried animal survival instinct lurking within her... clear to everyone but her that is, since she believes herself to be a Giant, and cats don't eat giants!
Peacock is notably besotted with Tattle, finding her animal-like features absurdly adorable and can't resist fawning over her.
Having knowledge of the Minks, she often tries to encourage Tattle to engage in Garchu, though Tattle is sadly completely unaware of this tradition due to her Giant upbringing. Peacock finds this heartbreakingly disappointing.
Unaware or perhaps unable to accept the idea of Tattle's strength, she is first to leap to the Mink's defense when under fire, protecting her from any unlucky enemy that dares endanger the anxious mouse and striking them down without mercy.
Tattle considers Peacock a good and trusted friend, growing close to her despite her initial hesitation to interact with the crew. She finds the assassin to be a very kind and friendly person, and finds her easy to talk to.
However, she is not entirely comfortable with Peacock's constant fawning over her, finding it to be very embarrassing. She appreciates her friendship and her protection in combat, but her affections can be a bit overwhelming at times, and finds her constant praise and compliments of being 'cute' to be somewhat demeaning. She may not like to fight, but she's still a proud daughter of Elbaf, y'know!
While Peacock thinks Mythio is an impressive young man in one regard, in awe of the strength he brings to the crew, she is endlessly vexed by his recklessness. She finds it difficult to efficiently relay information to the crew in times of danger when the helmsman has already leapt headfirst into it. Her frustrated efforts to reign him in long enough to listen have always proven fruitless.
As such, she finds Mythio irksome, with this sentiment carrying over to their personal relationship. Peacock finds herself much more exasperated by his immaturity than Ryuuda's, as he, unlike the captain, has done little to earn her respect outside of his admittedly impressive combat prowess.
He earns further scorn from Peacock via his attitude towards women. He is immune to her usual lovey-dovey fantasies, as she has frequently seen him take advantage of girls he clearly has no romantic interest in, and even break some hearts. As such, she contemptuously considers him 'the enemy of romance'. For her part, sternly rejects his flirtatious advances towards her and finds the very idea of being attracted to him downright repulsive.
With his tendency to leap headfirst into excitement, Mythio is very dismissive of Peacock in her role of Intel Officer. His fuck-around-and-find-out attitude means he frequently ignores the information she's striving to relay to the crew, often to his own detriment. When scolded, he can only pout and yet continue to repeat the same mistake the next time.
Adding to his disrespect, his typical womanising is a factor of their dynamic as well. Rather than admiring her intellect as his crewmates do, Mythio instead chooses to focus his praise on her body, frquently complimenting her figure and casually offering intimacy. He continues despite her rejections, his arrogance making him oblivious to just how much his attitude irks her.
He does genuinely respect her combat strength however, taking interest in her full-speed ahead fighting style. He has even taken some inspiration from her techniques when improvising in combat, although his wild attacks show a very flawed understanding when compared to Peacock's precision.
Ramsbane isn't interested in Mythio's strength and accomplishments, simply seeing him as a reckless, bratty child. As a doctor, he feels obligated to scold the young man for the danger her puts himself into. More frustrating however is that his words are wasted on him, as Mythio's strength gives him the resilience to avoid injuries and survive ill-advised scrapes that should by all means leave him dead.
Although one might expect him to get easily jealous of Mythio's skirt-chasing successes, Ramsbane actually simply scoffs, dismissing him and his companions as foolishly excitable children... that is unless Mythio is able to successfully woo someone who's Ramsbane's type, then he fully incurs his fiery disdain.
Mythio, with his abundant strength and resilience, considers Ramsbane to be an overly cautious worrywart, casually dismissing his doctor's orders in spite of his usual obedience of his superiors. Disrespectfully referring to him exclusively as 'old man', the two often argue regarding Mythio's behaviour, with Ramsbane criticising him for putting himself in dangers that Mythio himself simply doesn't consider dangerous.
Privately, some of Mythio's inability to get along with the doctor stems from his mother's condition and Elbaf's own doctors' inability to identify and treat her disease. His lack of respect for Ramsbane, who he doesn't consider to have proven himself any better, gives him an outlet for his frustrations with the failings of doctors as a whole.
Fonia quietly considers Mythio absurdly handsome, for a peasant. Despite her own arrogance, she ironically finds his smug personality grating and unpleasant, so she refuses to admit her physical attraction to him and continuously reiterates that her heart belongs only to Prince, unprompted. Thus, she rejects his continuous advances, barking back that he's a 'disgusting barbarian', despite entertaining the thought in her imagination more often than she'd ever admit.
Having little concept of nobility, raised outside the eye of Elbaf's monarchy, Mythio treats Fonia as he would any other woman; not particularly respectfully! Finding her attractive, he continuously flirts and flaunts his strength in efforts to woo her, commenting that he finds her arrogant nature 'adorable'. He is not especially interested in a full-on relationship, but would certainly not mind making her his woman for a night or two.
Jinks respects the immense strength that Mythio brings to the crew, but is adamant that the youth has a lot to learn about responsibility and being part of a team. Although he obeys their orders on paper, he is prone to reckless improvisation that endangers his comrades, behaviour that Jinks is keen to discourage.
Despite their continued scolding of Mythio, he remains notably friendly towards Jinks, refreshingly unafraid of their ghoulish nature, which they quietly appreciate. Regardless of this gratitude, his continuous interruptions of their peaceful solitude prove to be a source of irritation. Although they can understand his intentions are good-hearted, it's frustrating that the boy simply can't take the hint when Jinks wants to be left alone.
Though respectful of the chain of command, Mythio's confidence in his own strength sees him take a much more casual attitude with the ghoul than most of the crew have the courage to. He often tries to make small talk and joke around with Jinks, never hesitating to approach them and try to get them to lighten up and have some fun with him, to little success.
Though he aims to follow his superior's orders without question, his reckless nature often sees him take it upon himself to reinterpret the commands and improvise, earning their ire. He finds it bothersome to be scolded for things that achieve the desired result, so what if he didn't follow the instructions!?
