"If you do not have a use for your life, why not give it to me? I can give you a new purpose."
...Perhaps she was not ready to throw it all away, she just needed a purpose...
Is somewhat weirded out by the pawn’s ability to perceive him. Tried to glean what he could, but didn’t get much from Aster. Not that it matters anymore, with him being in the basement and all that. But sometimes you can get surprised by unexpected allies (..?)
Bree's trusted confidant. Aster is always there to find her, cycle after cycle and guide her back to her empire. Someone must keep the darker secrets buried, who better than your best friend? It's all for the sake of her vision. But all good things must come to an end..
Bree is someone Aster has worked with for quite a while. She has carried out every necessary mission, every sacrifice and behind the scenes work to maintain the stage Bree has set in her vision. Anytime Bree is around, her right hand man is normally close by, even if out of sight. She is possibly one of Bree's trusted allies...however, despite her beliefs, Aster does not truly work for her. Like all pawns, every action counted is for the sake of the true narrative, and the narrative never stays in your favor for long...
"Just gotta remember to suck it up, Buttercup."
He taught her that sacrifices must be made. After all, she made an agreement, a deal, and she must carry out what's now necessary for her new purpose.
Oh, yes, do go on! Take what you like, have some fun, it's freeing is it not? You've earned it. [Rather pitiful, but I understand. I lead you where you needed to go pretty well regardless, I will say that.]
Hey bestie!
"If you trust me, I will give you the answers they refuse to say."
"...Really...?" mythos' errand boy <3
"You are what helps those already lost in the afterlife, I appreciate the kind of comforting peace you resonate."
"You give what seems impossible another chance, truly commendable..."
You will soon know what this means.
Do you see me too? As much as I see you?
Maji was an interesting encounter, there's not much clear details yet but..perhaps they felt pity for him, seeing what the likes of him deals with. They still have to be held at a distance due to Sloth's potential problems, but communication and some sort of positive bond was exchanged enough for the spectators to assist Maji now too.
"As much trouble your kind brings, it's sad to see how things work for you. You never truly rest, do you?"
Francis Rivera wanted to be best. The top, the boss. Unfortunately he had two… problems. In the way. Stonks gave him a solution- seemingly free of charge! Of course, the cement shoes a few months later covered the bill.
(was it worth it, to trade your soul for ambition? will you ever be able to fill the hole again?)
A poor sucker who accepted a *generous* offer from Stonks to get what he oh so wanted...to bad there was an inevitable price that came with that choice, huh? He loves long walks on the beach, sometimes you get to see the most lovely sights!
Considers him more of a father figure than his actual dad. [UNCLE STONKS UNCLE STONKS]
Every new thing learned is just more proof he never cared. Absolutely hates Sloth, wants nothing to do with someone who did nothing but abandon him.
When Sloth first met Ryan, he wasn’t in the best of places. The lone kid sitting at that bus stop didn’t expect for anyone to notice him, much less care enough to extend a hand outward for a stranger. That first meeting meant more to Ryan than Sloth could ever know. It was the first time in a while he felt just… seen. Just for himself. The signature and treasured bee charm that every one of his cycles carries on them was in fact a gift won at one of those trips to the arcade. However, Sloth might’ve rubbed off on him a little bit too much, mainly in that apathetic disposition that can be quite irritating to break through. Despite the passage of time, those memories are recalled quite fondly. But if he knew…
Acted as a supportive chill uncle figure when they first met, with Sloth in the guise of a human. He knew the purpose of their fateful meeting was to slowly set the trail to lead Ryan to his inevitable disappearance, but he still tried to make things pleasant in their acquaintanceship. He would take him out to places like the arcade and either let out his troubles or simply take his mind off things. He never expected anything in return and made sure to let Ryan know that, after all he genuinely just wanted to do something nice...despite it not softening the ending blow. He knows it's only a matter of time he and someone else finds out the truth too, and he accepts the consequences that will come with it. He was never meant to be a truly good person anyways...
Used to menace Rookie before he realized Rookie was fucking 16, then apologized and took him out for ice cream. Then adopted him.
"Sorry about your boyfriend sir" Literally the first impression Clay got of Rookie was him tasering Clubs, so yeah, got off on a bit of the wrong foot there. He was intimidated by Clay until Clay realized this boy was actually 16, and was promptly offered ice cream to make up for it. Rookie does not know what ice cream is, considering that where he's from, they probably didn't have any.
