Sir Thomas Attaly is a top British scientist living in Victorian Era Bath, England. Unknown to the general public Sir Attaly has been plagiarizing all of the effort and work of various scientists that worked under him. Larkin is one of the scientists under his control as Larkin has to work for him or have a ruined reputation. It was only through a chance encounter with a mysterious book with random ramblings sold by an eccentric marketman that caused him to fall down a rabbit hole. As he is led down the path of mystery, magic, murder, and a certain Golden Thief, his life will forever be changed.
