All it takes is one moment of weakness, a small instance of letting his guard down. Luckily, he has friends to help bail him out of his fuck up.
Honestly, everything felt like a prelude to an oncoming storm that neither she nor Arturia could predict. Still, with her sister’s gleaming eyes and confident smile, Soleil couldn’t outright say no to her boundless courage.
Sometimes, it pays to think things through before agreeing to anything.
"I know you will! I'm betting everything on you!" She smiled, putting her hand in front of him, waiting for him to shake it. "All or Nothing, right?"
At the end of the road, Aventurine met one other child waiting for him in the endless void.
'To the lady who loved so dearly that she would take the burden of the world and to the man who loved so deeply that he avoided tragedy with his own hands. My hats off to them.'
Not all stories need to end in tragedies.
It is one thing to grieve a person who has passed. It is another thing to grieve a relationship with someone who lives a life without you, knowing that it was your decisions that led the two of you astray.
The Mad God had taken many things from Soleil. Her relationship with her sister just happened to be one that she couldn't help but long for. Still, she'll be Fontaine's Watcher through and through if it means Arturia doesn't have to face the things she had experienced.
"That guy… He hated close combat. He would dread getting close against an enemy. It was so bad that he ran away so many times from your personal bonding training sessions, you know?"
Justine briefly explains his cousin's weapon of choice to his aunt and uncle.
It was a rather idyllic scene, the Hydro Sovereign bending down to pat the creatures adoringly as each of them told him their well wishes on his birthday.
The Madame's planning for the birthday of her husband has finally (hopefully) paid off.
She knew how Fontaine worked. If people repeat it enough times, rumors and gossip become established facts. Everyone looked at her, how she came to become the head, how she acted and presented herself, and made their own conclusion.
Arturia has doubts and Wriothesley decided to do something about it.
The handwriting is no doubt hers but it was a bit strange. Normally, she'd send entire paragraphs worth of adorable name-calling and descriptive phrases about her feelings.

I've learned my lesson from XueSkye's nonsense, so I'm just going to keep everything in one drabble collection unless they're like a full oneshot of their own.

When the Old Noble Alliance wanted the Romaria Siblings to compromise, they try to find some other solution to their problem. Luckily, Neuvillette and Wriothesley agreed with their proposal.
Soleil never did say that she wasn’t a hypocrite for thinking of such things.
After Childe's trial, a certain someone happened to hear his unjust conclusion.
Then, she was just gone.
For that brief moment his skin made contact with the Black Gem, Wriothesley was shown his greatest nightmare.
Surprisingly though, looking back now, she felt as if she was the weakest link between terrifying monsters…
Never noticing that she was one herself.
Soleil never considered herself anywhere near strong but considering she was the weakest in a generation of monsters, that isn't saying much.
"Your eyes are very pretty, mother! I'm glad that the monster keeping it locked away has finally left you!" The first remark made Édelie a tiny bit flustered but the rest of the sentence had finally dawned on her.
The Melusines see the truth of this world unseen by the common folk.
With her words, Neuvillette frowned, the idea of Soleil simply being a trophy did not sit well with him. He wished her to be by his side but not to simply stand around and do his bidding. He wanted her to spread her wings, to argue back and demand what is needed done in his stead and with her own principles.
She may be his significant other but she is still her own person.
Neuvillette really doesn't want to share Soleil and he knows that's entirely due to his draconian instincts.
"I s-said I’m… I’m…!” For a moment Skye’s vision blurred, his breath gone and his head dunked into water. He couldn’t hear, couldn’t see, couldn’t feel…
He couldn’t breathe.
Watcher Skye once again reemerges.
"When you fought me, there were still tiny traces of my hydro energy that slipped up. But when you face them..." He sighed, defeated but proud at his next few words.
"It's as if they both disappeared from this world."
Post-Sealing and Betrayal Arc, Skye and Xue continue their training.
The next few days and months, nothing really changed. The staff was overworked, she was overworked, even Neuvillette was overworked. Nobody had time to dilly-dally and investigate what amounted to office gossip and rumors.
But then, it started to become less of a gossip and more of a fact.
In which the Chief Justice's Secretary and Fontaine's Watcher had gained another title.
"She's... happily married." Hearing that, Yuè smiled fondly, obviously happy at the news of his younger sister's pursuit of happiness.
"I'm glad she found herself a significant other... So, who is it?" The informant prepared themselves to drop the bomb, their feet itching to run away.
Yuè finally gets an update from someone after being dead for so long. He was not amused. But at least his companions are!
"Who's he? ...I'd like to see more information on him." Amber eyes stared intently at the photo, not seeing the worried stare of star-shaped ones glancing over his way.
A rewrite of Luocha's companion quest but with WelTori everywhere (and a special guest appearance by a certain someone at the end)
"We just wanted to know the truth." The young man defiantly (or as defiantly as he could given how he's trying not to break into a smile) stood his ground as Welt sighed and closed his eyes to nurse the growing headache he was accumulating. "March did all the questioning."
In the company of the long-lived and cursed, it's kinda hard to remember that common sense doesn't always apply.
"Huh... isn't this the Captain's girlfriend?" The intelligence officer briefly skimmed through her profile once again, glasses pushed further onto her nose as she smiled. Obviously, Caelus would hire his friend and no doubt she's a shoe-in for the job but Pela thought of a better way to help her overworked and uptight captain.
