Gentle loves Burr, but sometimes feels overwhelmed by her attention and energy, and often will steal a moment with Lucan or Aelar to spend some time sitting quietly. He loves playing pretend with their toys inside, and enjoys running through the woods and fields with her for short periods of time, before his low energy is sapped.
Burr loves Gentle, and wants him to become stronger! As his bigger (not older, but definately Bigger) sister, she needs to look out for him and will constantly and without hesitation get between him and anything or anyone that means him harm... until he's able to fend for himself anyway.
Lucan loves Burr. Her wild and abundant energy means she keeps him on his toes. He is constantly further baby proofing the home and their land by magicking trees and the landscape a certain way, often finding out after the fact that Burr has found some neat new way to injure herself just by running headlong into something.
Burr loves Lucan. Lucan is good for when she's upset but doesn't want to talk about it. His quiet support, and a hearty pastry, are all she really needs.
Dove adores Burr, and indulges her a lot, perhaps more than is good for her. She knows Burr's going to grow up to be a bruiser like she was, and works to guide Burr towards proper outlets for her urges.
Burr loves Dove! Dove understands that sometimes you just gotta hit a thing.
Maizi stumbles upon Sir Viris’ group on accident while running injured through the woods. Once better, she stayed with them awhile, and found Audryl to be annoying. She felt pestered constantly, being asked a ton of questions, many of them uncomfortable or painful (ex: where did you come from? Do you have any family?). She thinks he’s spoiled and can’t understand what she’s been through because he’s never experienced hardship in his life.
Audryl is at first fascinated by Maizi. He loves meeting new people and is in general used to having travelers answer his abundance of queries (until an adult tells him to leave off, usually his parents). Maizi’s cold demeanor and brusque answers do little to dissuade his curious nature, and his general inability to read her leads to her losing her temper at him more than once. Still he’s not easily dissuaded, and further more admires her skill with a bow. Upon realizing she had no idea how to handle a horse, he took it upon himself to help her (she didn’t appreciate his laugh and tried to refuse. She really did try...). He might be developing a crush.
Kalisa is fond of Marisan, but finds him somewhat... boring, and a bit exasperating. She considers him soft, physically weak, and easy to scare, all things she strives *not* to be.
Marisan loves his sister, but doesn’t particularly feel they have much in common. Her energetic and outgoing nature is enough to make him uncomfortable, and her lack of control usually results in Marisan being on the wrong end of an overly-exuberant hug/chokehold, or similar situations.
Irilme thinks Viris is immature and makes sure not to give him a single inch, lest he walk all over her. She grows familiar enough with him to get attached, though at the start she was far too wary of him to let him get close. She fulfills her duties as a stablehand well, and at the very least appreciates that he doesn't bother her with trivial tasks or lord his position over her, something she expected to happen. Irilme is also irritated with him for playing her, once she realizes he never had any designs on Audryl beyond mentor-ship.
Viris really, really likes Irilme. He likes how she's equal parts stubborn and level-headed. She's strong-willed and isn't one to back down from a fight, though usually the fights are with cutting wit rather than blades. He doesn't realize it, but she reminds him a lot of the tough orc women from his home near The Borderlands.
Audryl at one point moved his crush and hero worship feelings from Irilme to Viris. This lasted for a good month or so before Audryl found more targets to focus his affection on. Still, he respects Viris, and minds his teachings.
Viris took Audryl under his wing as a squire. His real motive was to keep Irilme close by, but Audryl's eagerness to learn and dedicate himself to the art of fighting, and his natural talent for it made Viris throw himself wholeheartedly into Audryl's training. Now, if only he could shake Audryls' romanticism....
Irilme views Audryl as a younger brother, one who needs guidance and protecting. She feels he's impressionable and naiive, and far too easy with his affections to be safe in the world.
Audryl loves Irilme. For awhile he imagines it to be a romantic love, to her dismay, but it cools down into an easy, familial bond. He's comfortable around her, and trusts her very much, though he's not terribly quick to follow all of what she says, unless it pertains to the care of their horses.
Guisenna doesn't realize that she has any family left alive.
Maizi searches for her older sister, looking for answers as to why their family is gone.
Saoirse first knew Guisenna as a target, someone who through ignorance or willful malevolence had unleashed a violent demonic entity upon the world. As she grew closer however, she felt herself being pulled towards Guisenna, touched by her story and her drive to fix her mistakes. While Saoirse still technically is spying on Guisenna, her reports are becoming fewer and farther between. As they spend more and more time together, she's falling further and further in love, and every day brings her closer to admitting her true purpose, despite the fact that it will certainly harm their relationship beyond repair.
Guisenna wasn't sure what to make of this forward skaald, but eventually she came to trust Saoirse with everything. She loves Saoirse completely. Guisenna is terrified of pulling Saoirse into misfortune and death, but is unable to let go.
