CODE HEX / What's your TH colour theme?
Mood: It's a mystery
I just came up with CODE HEX two days ago, and I am genuinely having so much fun with it. I have always loved stories about crime and subterfuge and this is the culmination of that. (That, and my fascination with standard HTML colour names.)
I appreciate that I can have loads of characters with mismatched aesthetics. Most of the time, I require my characters to have looks & outfits that make sense in the universe because I'm such a stickler for internal consistency. So a project where wearing costumes is the whole point...I have been liberated...
Also! I have fixed their profiles, which were previously unreadable for some because I forgot that Toyhouse has different colour themes. I often do...(this is part of the reason I made the code editor in the first place 😭)
So, a little poll about that. Which loops back to HTML colours, funnily enough. What theme do you use?
I've been off Toyhouse for a bit, but I just looked through the CODE HEX folder and I'm astounded, they all look so cool! Their designs match their namesakes, and I love the bits of character interactions involving their hex codes, it's a great detail!
I'm a what??? teal is clearly the superior colour main because it reminds me of one of my OCs the most.

I'm honoured you like these designs, I definitely enjoyed the freedom to design with whatever traits caught my fancy, after so many years of being constrained by worldbuilding!
I'm surprised at the number of people who use teal, but it makes sense that people use the themes that are closest to their own personal tastes!

I'd be up for something red to fit my general "red on dark" theme, but Pink Velvet Snake caught my eye for how Effortlessly its colors go so well together and Kind Of fit my red aesthetic.
But I will suggest this again - some sort of red arcade theme in dark mode. AUGH

I'd be fine with using the default, but "what??? teal is clearly the superior colour" goes so well with my TH avatar that I'm incapable of picking anything else.
Also, I was going comment that I was really fond of Black's design, but then I looked at White and was going to comment that I was really fond of their design, but then I saw Steel Blue, then DarkSlateGrey, then Cornsilk, etc, etc. So yeah, you really knocked it out of the park with these designs. And I'm a sucker for color-coding, so consider me hooked.

You're so right about the colour scheme matching your icon... Also thank you, I'm honoured you enjoy them! I'm a fellow colour coding appreciator 🤝 can't resist having it in every project, so this is the logical conclusion of that.

Pink theme ftw! Similar to the person below me I originally picked another theme for my alt but it was so unnerving to me I had to change back to pink lol

Thank you, I'm glad you think so!! I think I'll be doing all the colours that I like or use a lot, but definitely not all of them - some of them have names that I don't wanna design (they have a colonialist "using a cultural group as an aesthetic" vibe, or straight up use terminology that I can't reclaim )
Pink theme appreciators 🤝 that's my main's too but I keep my alt in default because it helps me remember which account I'm on LMAO

i cannot believe people are foolish enough to pick anything else when the bee movie script is a literal option
(i picked it as a joke when i first joined but now im used to it and i can't use anything else. even using my alt where i have the blue one instead unnerves me i have to go back to bees)

HELP I crack up every time I remember the bee theme. It even has. Stripes. Incredible.
(I just prefer light themes to dark ones on websites...)
