Jinai is an offshore racing veteran, many-time local champion with not a single international title to her name. Anqien is a promising sailor who dropped out of university to become Jinai's teammate. This is their last race together, and it's the biggest one in the world. And really, they're not the favourites to win.

Back in 2016, I wrote 30+ tie-in stories for Eagles and Swans and titled it, incredibly creatively, Doves and Peacocks. Some of them occur before or are apart from the plot, and I'll probably be posting them here. We'll see how many that ends up being.
