sorry if something like this exists already exists but i didnt see it within the first 6 pages (and im too lazy to go back furhter) and ive never seen it pop up before and im really desperate for human interaction so here we go

but basically um uh yell about the states you live in! or if you dont wanna reveal where you live or just dont live in the US, then um yell about places youve been to or places you used to live or places you know about or just what you know about the states idk literally anything state related except politics because i dont want this to turn into a place of argument but um yea just rant about random things about states because i am really obssessed with US states for some reason!

virginia here! grew up in hampton roads, now i live in SWVA - god, that was kind of a culture shock in and of itself. i much prefer the weather on this side and the mountains are very pretty, but i really miss the beach and the, generally speaking, much less conservative atmosphere on the eastern side of the state :(  but there's still plenty to love out here - lots of farmers' markets, tons of hiking spots, and i've gained an appreciation for bluegrass, haha

ive only been to NYC once; but i loved every second of it and i can't wait to go back. money, tho :'( we stayed in jersey for that trip and i liked it there!! but then again, we were only there for a few days, like i said.

ive been to WV several times, god its beautiful out there. gorgeous mountains, so freaking green. appalachia is a really interesting region, speaking in terms of natural history and ecology. and holy shit i wanna go to the mothman museum :'( we passed it on an emergency trip to ohio so we didn't have time to stop.

and since i brought it up, ohio was.... bad, lmao. sorry ohioans (although all the folk from ohio i've ever met have expressed the same sentiment lmao)

drove thru PA recently to visit a friend in philly - PA is so flat????? where are yalls hills??? but its a pretty drive, and amish country has some good food in it omg... and i'm a big fan of large cities so philly was

pa time!!  mostly pittsburgh though cuz that’s where i’m at 😎

the stereotypical accent is hilarious first of all. there’s a lot of art as well, be it grafitti, murals, or just art museums! i’ve been to a few, they’re pretty fire. also performing arts. ton of that as well. also an abundance if bridges and rivers. my lonely artist soul loves all of it, ngl. there’s also hills and mountains everywhere. no tornadoes here, pretty cool. overall i think it’s a pretty place for a former steel mill city.

if you go to the ‘middle of nowhere’ areas in pa you get to see all the trump supporters. good for them i guess??

i also lived in kansas when i was a tiny kid, all i remember is it’s all flat and there’s kinda nothing there.

If I could summarize Ohio in one word that word would be corn.

I guess we have the cleveland clinic but that's really about it. And even that's not too exciting.

In Maryland the only thing you can eat every other day is crabs. Other than that you're forced to put old bay seasoning on everything

Masaochism

it would be lying saying that texas is not like the meme culture thats about it, because it is, and then its x10 worse.

its not every day that you look to your side and see a chartreuse green jeep with RAWR XD on it.

Maryland. It rains so much here, it's amazing. Like, it will rain extremely heavily for like 5-10 minutes and then just nothing. And even when it's not raining, it looks like it's going to.
Otherwise, being practically in the middle of the east coast means we get burning hot summers and freezing cold winters.
And yes, we do eat a lot of crabs. My dad specifically goes crabbing at least two times per year. And man, I do love crabs. And seafood in general.

Wow, we sure do love inhaling smoke here in California.

beaubee

howdy upper florida parasite here
all it does here is rain tbh. that messes up the tides and people complain abt the beaches or whatever and its always hot. rn its like 60s or 50s tho bc of zeta.
soo many tourists and people who just CANNOT drive. dollar generals are literally EVERYWHERE. animals are roadkill all the time. you can probably see a missing dog runnin around bc people cant build fences. dont even get me started on the white straight high schoolers who do drugs and say the n word and f-ggot.
yikes.
