sorry if something like this exists already exists but i didnt see it within the first 6 pages (and im too lazy to go back furhter) and ive never seen it pop up before and im really desperate for human interaction so here we go

but basically um uh yell about the states you live in! or if you dont wanna reveal where you live or just dont live in the US, then um yell about places youve been to or places you used to live or places you know about or just what you know about the states idk literally anything state related except politics because i dont want this to turn into a place of argument but um yea just rant about random things about states because i am really obssessed with US states for some reason!

california slaps solely because la exists in it and boy howdy its so fun to go down to hollywood and santa monica to see the twilight zone... nowhere other than santa monica could i see some dude on a giant tricycle selling weed, vapes, and doritoes. man had the hustle. (yes california really loves weed.)

and yeah. its hot. but at least we're not arizona

Idk much about the rest of New York because I live in nyc but, I've been to Niagara Falls and I can say the Canadian side is more fun lol ;; it was fun walking across the bridge back and forth btwn the countries though ^^;

Anyway I really love nyc despite how expensive it is. It's so convenient when it can that I can't imagine living anywhere else (or I may be biased b/c I know how to navigate the subways well, thanks to my bro who's knows a ton about the system lol) . I really love the Manhattan skyline at night, it's a fav aesthetic of mine xD. (Edit but honestly I think I see this place through rose colored glasses lol and everyone's experience is different,  I've known many ppl who really desired to move away too ;; )

Somewhere I really wanna visit someday is the Corning Museum of Glass. It's somewhere upstate (lol) and it seems like a cool place :0

Missouri isn't interesting except there's Branson and Ozcon in a city (slightly larger town???) I used to live near. Oh, and the wild-creatures, forests, etc is cool and that's it. Also, everyone is Christians except what feels like me; I'm agnostic. There are tons of farms everywhere. By farms I mean you will most likely drive past about a dozen cattle farm pastures if you even just drive from one town to another (mostly small towns. Branson and Springfield are the only real cities that are around here. Haven't been to Springfield yet, though and I could be wrong).

Arkansas is just Missouri with no Branson and Ozcon and I'm landbound to where I'm stuck in Missouri unless I take a ferry which isn't open at night so I can't stay there too long. I haven't explored much of Arkansas. Also, we got a town called Flippin' with a Walmart. My cousins used to prank call that Walmart so they can hear "this is Flippin' Walmart, how may I help you?"

I'm unable to remember Illinois because I left when I was eight and have memory nature. All I really care about is that my old town still has the old dvd rental place still around and remembering it makes me want to go back so damn badly.

I can't wait to be able to travel.

Eastern and Western Washington are so different politically/geographically/meteorologically they might as well be two different states.  Sometimes, I forget EWa exists....

It's wet as heck here, which leads to some GORGEOUS evergreen forests.  Also, ocean.  All the ocean.  The wildlife is pretty chill unless you tick it off or it decides to mess with you.  Even the birds can be mean.  And if you hear what sounds like a screaming child in the forest, RUN.  Just Run.  And don't look back.  That's a cougar, and it's coming for you.

We don't have as much history as the east coast, but golly do we take pride in what we got.  Also, lots of tech and medical stuff this side of the mountains.  The cities are either really nice or really crummy or just really small, and there's usually no in between.  Public transport is also basically all or next-to-nothing, depending on where you are.

The SE states (Carolinas, VA, etc) are weird to me.  They're flat, and they're humid as heck, and they got no slugs.  Plus, all the folks are friendly which is fine but I'm used to the PNW Freeze XD.

PA has a lot of old decrepit towns, empty buildings, etc. there's not a lot of people here anymore, but there's still a relatively stable economy - service-industry jobs are plentiful and rent is pretty cheap. i'm most familiar with western PA, which has a lot of old factories that are pretty fun to go urban exploring in. but it's not a place you go to if you want like, super big excitement or a lot of young people or w/e, it's definitely a place you have to find your own beauty in. but i do love it! also a lot of rivers, bridges, rain, mountains, and forests. very pretty landscape, dotted with abandoned towns and dying cities. i'm being melodramatic, lol, but it does instill you with a weird emotion.

pittsburgh has a lot of museums, a lot of pretty places, and a lot of bridges. i've been to most of the museums, but i haven't gone to any but the carnegie since moving out of pittsburgh. i kept meaning to take my girlfriend down to the strip district and get popcorn and look at shops but uh... that plan's on hold v_v

if you're familiar with NITW it was explicitly based off of western PA and i feel it's accurate; good vibe for small town PA (i say, 2/3 cities i've lived in here being the 'big' cultural centers.......) anyways i love PA, but it's definitely not a place for everyone and if you visit western PA just go to pittsburgh.

Arizona: Satan’s asscrack, everyone is 50 years behind the time, a third world country, everyone calls you racist for no reason and are just cold blooded and the most interesting thing to do around here is go to Walmart.

Thank the gods I am leaving this hellhole. Only thing I’ll miss is shorts all year weather

Edit: Forgot about our 6 dildo rule.

first thing that came to mind was this vid, and as a person from illinois, i'd say it's p accurate :y

illinois, probably one of the flattest states in the country, does contain corn and corruption. even though i'm only really familiar with the chicagoland area, we kinda have it all - the four seasons (but cursed, weather gets terrible whether it's hot or cold), liberal areas in the north, conservative areas the further south you go, and 🅱️uhh. 😳 yeah, i don't go out much. i always remember how wikipedia describes illinois as an american microcosm, and i can definitely see that. that's kinda the most defining traits? not a whole lot makes us stand out from everyone else except for chicago

chicago is cool, i'd def reccommend the museum of science and industry and the art institute, i've always wanted to go to saic. also from what i've gotten in my area at least, deep dish pizza is kinda polarizing? people either love it or hate it, i guess. i like it, i think it's p good :^)

on another note, as a filipino, i feel like filipino stuff can be harder to come by where i am? asian food and other stuff is becoming more common in my area at least, plus there's always been the small family-run asian grocery stores scattered around here. but the nearest jolibee and seafood city are super far away from here and it makes me mad??? since california has the most asian-americans, those places and others were definitely more commonplace/on a larger scale and. i'm jealous >:'0 chicago is a lot better tho

take my words with a grain of salt! :^o i definitely don't know everything there is to know about illinois

nyc is wild! i've lived here all my life, and i dont rlly know much about upstate, but nyc has a fair share of good (and bad.) being quarantined here now, i find myself even missing all the things i used to get upset about! the outrageously long walk up the stairs at lex and 53rd (i mean when i was in a rush i'd walk, usually would just take the escalator lmao) the full six trains that i'd have to wait forever to get on, the outrageous prices at stores, even the rude lady who cursed at me because we bumped into eachother when she was in a rush... lmao

and theres also things i love! the nintendo nyc store, for example! i would always go there after school with friends on the release day of games we wanted! and they'd give away free stuff for launch and have decorations! it's my favorite place in the world!

and my school, which is an art school (im an animation major!) i feel really glad that i have the opportunity to go to this kind of school (the eleven freaking flights of stairs are exhausting tho...)

I've had the opportunity to meet many people that I know from online because of living in nyc! I met a friend from Amino when they were on a trip with their class, a popular artist I look up to at AnimeNyc, and another popular artist I look up to that was visiting at the Nintendo store! and i figured out a friend I met on ArtFight lives here, so we met up and now were really good friends! and i've also been able to be a vendor at a con!

I really love the vibrance and color and excitement of this city. But there are a lot of things that make me sad, like all the people that are homeless here, the police brutality, the discrimination... and all the stupid people going out and partying when were the epicenter of the pandemic. i really hope that people in this city can just mature and stop acting so petty and awful someday.

anddddd well thats it! ;; :D
