I got a tag for my characters 30-39, and one who's older on the way...... but as of now Aurelio is 39 and I feel I can answer the questions the best for him
- Are they content with how they're living now?
Honestly it's kind of a half yes and a half no... He has 2 friends he cares about and one loves him but he feels guilt about them for a few reasons, directly related to him or not. He became the bad guy, but it was ultimately to help his family. His parents don't talk to him, but his sister does and is safe with her own kid now. Do the ends justify the means? He prefers not to think about it. Or anything he's done, really.
If you ask him at the right time and right day, preferably around others, he'll say yes. Anything outside that is probably a no. Thoughts get to stew in his head for too long when he's alone.
- What do they think of who they were in the past compared to now?
He sees his past self as a dumb kid who made mistakes that could never be fixed. And I mean, he's right... Just stings!
In a way he still acts a lot like how he used to back when he was a kid, even pre-syndicate stuff. Was always a gloomy looking quiet kid that's horrible with expressing his emotions.
It'd be nice if he could get back what he used to have, but ultimately, having those he cares about safe along with his new friends is more important to him than if he were to go back and erase those mistakes leading to his current self.
