40 is the new 20
As we all know, life doesn't stop after your 20s. But it's not too common to see characters who are 30+ Show me your characters who are a little older then the norm.
- Are they content with how they're living now? - What do they think of who they were in the past compared to now?
Rules:
-No immortals. I mean characters living a lifespan.
Mandy is 44! Her main pic is her at a younger age, with the dog she grew up with.
I'm kinda out of practice at drawing older people, it's something I need to work on.
She was fairly content with her life for a while. When the game started her mother had just passed away and she was feeling kind of alone in the world, which led her to join The Morrow Project.
She missed her younger days but was still full of curiosity and drive!
She uhh, did die, because TMP is about the grittiest realism you get in an rpg. I guess I knew what I was getting into. 😅
Gustavo's main story line takes place when he's in his late 30s to early 40s!
He is proud of where he got in his life and is living as happy as he can be, really. His past, or youth if you will, is not something he likes to dwell on and it's not something he has fond memories of. He has gotten much more cunning and confident over the years, something he didn't even have much choice in.
This poor bean suferred a lot on his lige, but now he's living his best life in a cottage in the woods whit his bf :)))
Dahlia is in her late 30s equivalent for elves or whatever. I know elves "aren't considered adults until they're 100", but I can't count, so I ignored that and decided elves are adults at 18 just like humans. Either way, Dahlia is a grown ass woman who's had her fair share of trouble and good things in life.
if I recall right, cainavin is getting up there in age. He's easily mid 30s or more now, just need to update him again fbdbebbwnd. I have a lot though who are over 30 and some over 40
Rhys is 25, which makes Joey...43 years old. Quite happy with his life rn - obviously wasn't so happy when his son got abducted but I mena thats understandable.
Of the ocs on my TH currently, Chelsea's in her late 40's! She's a working single mom.
She isn't too happy with her, life since, after all, being a paid-to-kill monster hunter is especially dangerous, but she's trying her best to support her daughter, even if that entails being terrified that something might happen and she won't be around for her. But she loves her kid enough to find joy in the tough times. She definitely used to be a lot more carefree and open in her youth, though her past turned her into someone more cold and closed off. She'd probably call her old self too naïve, too trusting, and wished she'd appreciated the things she had.
Lorn is 42! He is a humble farmer who lives in the same small town in the mountains that he grew up in. I think he is very content with how he is living, and able to actually say he is happy. He's had a lonely life for the most part but he always is optimistic.
i've got a few!
umeko is my oldest (not immortal) oc! she's a mother and a housewife (and a yandere but sshh) and she's 45. and her husband tsukiya is a business man just a year younger than her at 44!
dr. milo shand and dr. ximena amaya are both over 30, at 39 and 36 respectively! and they're just vibing and studying their passions!
dr. ash is a 33 year old anxious mess. his hobbies include gardening and regret
also quincy is an aspiring chef, blogger, 30 years old and a mom/mentor/friend to her 19 year old, technically boss yuna.
and, i'm not sure how much she counts (since she's not immortal but she's bioengineered so she doesn't age like most people), but agent b is 38! she's a cloned soldier with one (1) emotion
He's 33, I based him off of several movies featuring an actor I like and the actor was around his 30s in most of them so I thought it would be fitting for him to also be around that age, and he's just getting into the fun part of being a private investigator, having build up his skills and built a reputation for himself in his 20s
(He's a tabletop RPG character too so him being slightly older than the rest of the player characters gives him more skills than everyone else ;) )
