Do you have any characters whose design(s) were inspired by fictional characters? Like a cartoon character, book character, movie, etc. I'd love to see and know why you chose to make a design inspired by them!
I find that making OCs inspired by favorite fictional characters just makes me love them so much more. I have a few:
Kara, who was unintentionally inspired by Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender (friends pointed out the color scheme and name similarity so I kind of just went with it), who prompted me to make Zakari, who was then inspired by Zuko from ATLA as well. There's also Skye and Diego, who were inspired by Star and Marco from Star Vs. The Forces of Evil. Lyam and Dalila were loosely inspired by Adrien and Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug.
I'd love to know if anyone else has fun making "inspired by" characters as well!
Horen is inspired by Azula from Avatar. There's an image in her gallery of her dressed as Azula lol. The inspiration is mostly design and power wise.
Rachael here is heavily inspired by rachel/rachael from resident evil revelations, the first one. I made changes since I didn't want her being too similar in terms of appearance not only that but that character in particular didn't have much that i could work with so i had to add everything else myself which im honestly fine with lol.
Harmony is highly inspired by My Melody and Kuromi from Sanrio. She's actually just a rabbit who loves Sanrio though and cosplays to look a lot like her favorite characters.

for some reason ming-hua (from legend of korra) was a comfort character for me and one day i accidentally forgot to draw arms on a manokit. i jokingly added water arms and u'otamu was born. i drew him as somewhat of a joke character for a while but soon he grew on me and became one of my comfort characters. i gave him a name (water arms google translated into japanese; probably inaccurate but it fits them!); their first design was very ridiculous and didn't fit them at all so a little later i gave them a more subtle design closer to ming-hua's colors and water tribe colors in general.
Jennifer is lowkey based off the Demogorgon from Stranger Things. Both by personality AND physicality.
